Lovely campground, we’ll be back. Pictures are from site #B002. - Miraculously there were zero mosquitoes here in early August. We got bitten up down by the lakes + neighboring trails, but this campground was somehow mosquito-free. - Bathrooms were clean + well maintained - No bear boxes on site, so be sure to bring one or safely store your items in your [locked, sealed] car - Quiet. Dispersed camping down by the lakes was pretty rowdy + you could unfortunately hear some of the loud music / voices / parties floating up. Thankfully this campground was respectful of quiet hours + seemingly much more family-friendly. - Sites were well spread out from each other, but with only dispersed tree cover you may or may not have full privacy from your neighbors - Partial views of the mountains + lakes

Beautiful hill-side campground with views of Twin Lakes and surrounded by mountains including Mt Elbert—the tallest peak in Colorado! Nicely spaced campsites with pit toilets and sturdy picnic tables. Clean pit toilets. Unfortunately, no water at this time. Lots of hiking opportunities including the Colorado trail, which meanders up through the campground ⛺️

Beautiful views and friendly camp hosts. Some vault toilets are old, but the newer ones are clean and fresh. Overall beautiful location.

Very nice. Although very close to other campers with their shitty Bluetooth music.

Absolutely loved this campground, and is located in one of my favorite areas for outdoor recreation! Excellent fly fishing, rafting, boating, hiking, and cycling are a stones throw away and the views are absolutely amazing. Our campsite was incredibly spacious and quiet, and provided some great nighttime sky gazing along with daylight panoramas which were priceless!! Only bummer was the ongoing running water situation, or lack of, especially if you have booked for a few days or more, but knowing this before we booked, made it a non issue. The campground as a whole was kept up very nicely, pit toilets always seemed clean, and our campground host, Rick, was was friendly, helpful, and was a joy to chat with. Overall, would stay here over and over, and would suggest this campground if extremely basic amenities and lack of running water aren’t an issue, and you want to be surrounded by some of the best views and recreation to be had!!

Can't give the campground hosts nearly enough credit - Dan & Brenda were AWESOME! They greeted us upon arrival and were there whenever we needed assistance. The campfire wood was nice and dry, pit toilet was very clean and always stocked with the necessary goods. We had wonderful views from F1 & F2. It was a short walk/drive to the South Mt. Elbert Trailhead (east ridge). Bring your own water. Wish we could have stayed longer, but will definitely be back. It seems that there is some conflict about the pump-out stations at the local White Star Campground near Twin Lakes - this is a great place nearby to pump out your camper ... too bad politics seem to be involved and the place is locked up!

Being the owner of Northern Lights Hammocks, I'm always happy to find perfect hammock trees at a campsite. Nice flat tent pad surrounded by young Aspen trees. And access to the Colorado trail that runs through the campground. Nice!

Dan is the Man! Best campground host ever. We were lucky to get a last minute cancellation with shade and partial lake views thanks to assistance from Dan. Clean out toilets. If you forget to bring water, not available at campground, The Pass Gas convenience store is not too far, and has basic provisions including thru hikers resupply. Bonus:. Hummingbird nest in our tree.

Amazing campground with great hosts! We stayed in the first come first serve sites and it was definitely well priced considering it was a fairly nice sized spot with a picnic table, fire pit, and parking space. They also have pit style bathrooms for each campground loop. We were able to have our big tent, 2 cars and dog.

We were hoping to have great views from the campsite but you need to be in certain sites for those. The location however was awesome and the site hosts were great! Nice big tent pad, great pits and well graveled.
