Larsson's Crooked Creek Resort

We stayed at Crooked Creek a couple nights in early May. The park had just opened for the season. The weather was cool. Yet, there was a lot of activity, not only because it was the start of the season, but also the owners were putting a lot of effort and resources into improvements. We thought the park was very nice already, but there were big plans underway. We want to stop by here again in a couple years to see the results of all this activity. If you are coming to the Rapid City area for vacation, you’ll want to consider Crooked Creek. It is just south of Hill City, close by many attractions. The staff are pleasant and helpful. The grounds are well kept. The creek itself meanders through the park. Many campsites overlook the creek. Finally, we got the sense (even with just a short stay), that this park is one of those places where families return year after year. If you are looking to start that kind of tradition within your family, this might be the place. We hope to be back in the next few years.

All the staff was super friendly. The area is just amazing. I can’t say enough about the campground itself… EXCELLENT!!! Ask for Pat (she’s so awesome) she’ll get you to all the great places to see and eat!

Larrsons Crooked Creek Camground is a very nice and unique rv park. The grounds are well kept and new improvements in progress. The gazebos, tree houses, and all the extras are fun. The staff was over the top nice and accommodating. For the Memorial Day weekend they had a BBQ and music Friday and Saturday nights. The creek runs right behind the premier sites and across the creek is the Mickelson bike trail which is a very feature to have. The dog park is clean and serves its purpose. We did not use the showers, laundry, or gym facilities so can not comment on those. Would stay again. Thank you.

The people were great. The sites are very nice. They are currently upgrading the public restrooms/showers, so these should be much improved. They need to supply better than the cheapest TP, because this isn't the cheapest RV park. WiFi was useless, Unusable.

Super nice, quiet campground just minutes from Crazy Horse, Mt. Rushmore, Custer and Keystone. Spacious site with grass, covered deck with Adirondack chairs, gas grill, gas fire pit and separate wood fire pit. Surrounded by the Black Hills. Friendly and accommodating staff.
