We stay at koa regularly. This one was really nice! It had little things that made it better than many others. Ashtrays all over the place, including tent sites. Benches in the restroom and at the playground! Clean restrooms that are well maintained. Everything is well maintained. The staff is super friendly. They're sociable of you want that and they'll leave you alone if you prefer. Breakfast was truly awesome. Set us up for great days! Tent sites were very nice. They are still adding new things all the time too. While we were there, they installed a very nice covered patio area right next to our tent site. Perfect shade. The grounds are well treed for shade. Plenty for the kids to do to keep them busy. We had some rain, so the kids made use of the game room for shelter and discovered a decent library selection in the laundry room. The shop has what you need or forgot to bring. They are adding more refrigerators for more drink options right now. Brand new community fire pit right by the playground. The thing I most appreciated was the fact that I could send my kids to play while we made camp and could see them. I requested close to restrooms because of kids. They delivered. We were right by the office, playground, restrooms, game room and pool! This is the most well thought out layout of any koa I've been to. There are some dogs and cats running around. They live here. They keep the grounds safe. They do a great job and are all very friendly pets. My kids really enjoyed the dogs and cats being friendly. Every night, one dog took the job of escorting us to the restrooms and back to camp after dark lol. So sweet. Staff checked on us periodically to make sure everything was good too which was really comforting. We have a new favorite stop now! We will definitely be back for a visit when we come across the country. If you are looking for a kid friendly, safe and quiet place, this is the one!

This campground has a lot of potential. Very comfortable and safe. Peaceful, good bird watching. Great views sitting outside in the early mornings and evenings. Good power and water. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our pull through space was very unlevel, still made it work, and utility placement was skewed making it difficult to fit the trailer and truck. A couple of things for management to consider (1) bathrooms, while clean, need a total remodel. (2) placement of the playground and recreation area adjacent to and on top of the septic field does not encourage usage. (3) pool appeared to be clean but needs a remodel also, the area isn’t attractive. We didn’t see anyone using the pool or rec areas while we were there. Common patio/deck area is it at the entrance and needs attention to improve initial impressions. Poorly stocked and unkempt camp store. Not a bad campground and it met our needs, just see a lot of potential given the great location.

This KOA, located just outside Las Vegas, NM, is convenient to explore the city and surrounding areas like Fort Union and Pecos. Some of the sites are shaded and treed, others are good pull through, but not as scenic. Some of the sites have eccentric hookup layouts (for example, we had to run our hose underneath the vehicle to the water hookup). Also, the water pressure is low, and, at night, on some of the higher elevation sites, can drop to zero, so check with the office and they may suggest filling your tanks and augmenting with internal pumps.

We stayed for the night at this KOA we were at the tent site. The campsite had a great view . The staff was really kind. But the showers were really small I had a hard time trying to take a shower and getting my kids washed as well. The seats that are in the shower area are tiny I felt like it was going to break when I sat on it and I am not that big of a person. Also it was a hot day when we arrived and it was even hotter when we got down setting up our tent so I decided to take my kids to the pool to cool off. When we got in the pool there were a lot of bugs and it just looked dirty so we left. I can understand it’s a pool outside so yes bugs will get in there but there weren’t just a few of them there was a lot. Also the neighbors cross from this KOA are super noisy. Plus I could hear the dogs that were outside barking for most of the night. Glad we only stayed one night. Side note: the restaurants in the area either close early or the food isn’t that great .so if you are coming in late I would suggest bringing your own food or eating before coming to the location.

Location private and felt safe. Grounds very clean and well-kept. Bath houses very clean. Spots somewhat close but lots of trees for shade, privacy and outdoor ambiance. Quiet campers made it a peaceful stay. Did not realize there was a dog park until morning when we saw it on our way out. Looked like a nice, larger one. Some very basics at camp store. Would stay here again.

We stayed 2 nights, they have a few spots that are big rig friendly and they do a breakfast every morning and it was great. The problem is the owner and reason being is he had his dog running loose over the park. I had went in to let them know there was a dog loose and the guy said it was his dog and said it was friendly, he said he wasn’t going to put on a leash or put back in house. The rule on dogs is it must be on a leash and not be left unattended outside. It goes for everyone but him. There was a argument between me and him and he threatened to throw us out. My wife was walking our dog when his dog started to approach. They don’t enforce rules of leaving dogs tied up and barking with long leash lines

Very nice KOA, definitely 5 stars. Very nice shower house, water was adequate, showers were warm very clean. Dog park. Very nice breakfast before our departure, didn't have to worry about dishes or making coffee in the morning.

We stayed extended stay for 13 weeks. The campground is very clean and large spots. Most spots have shrubbery to make it feel private. Did not get to try the pool as it was out of season. Our specific site was large enough to park 2 vehicles beside our camper. Staff are overly friendly and very helpful with all your needs. Wifi is the usual for campgrounds. There is no Verizon signal but AT&T and T Mobile full bat 5 G. Interstate noise is very minimal. Would definitely recommend.

Nice campground! Great location with trees at each site. Very clean restrooms/showers. Susan is the nicest person you'd ever want to meet and she makes a great breakfast if you don't want to cook your own. Easy reservation change when weather delayed our original arrival date and easy check-in after hours. Not our first time and won't be our last!!

Nice place to stay for a night or two or a week. The people working there are great! The breakfast was fantastic! The water pressure was great (they use a gravity system). Close enough to town for supplies and groceries. The sites are mostly level but graveled.
