So we came to BATL Ranch RV Resort campground because of the amenities they advertise on your website. We came on thanksgiving day because we thought how nice would it be in a warm jacuzzi with a glass of wine watching the sun go down. We actually detoured from our straight down the 30 route to Waco for the amenities. Even though the daily fee is $20 more than the other parks we looked at before we chose BATL Ranch RV Resort. We knew today was a holiday, but the website said nothing about being closed. We tried to call a number of times to be sure everything was good before we arrived. We drove almost 40 minutes out of our planned route to come stay here and enjoy the Jacuzzi. So when we arrived there was nothing anywhere stating the park was closed. In fact, we spoke with the “camp Host” Kenneth. He informed us the pool and jacuzzi were open. So we booked a site and parked our rig. Then the fun starts. We were unable to check in online after we paid the $60 fee. We were not given a code to access any of the amenities. Kenneth called the owners and apprised her of our situation. So here is what we the owners felt appropriate to fix the situation. They were told the jacuzzi wasn’t working , but took our money anyway. We were never given the code to access the showers or laundry facilities. The sites have no picnic tables or fire rings. So basically we paid 60 bucks for a muddy spot with no amenities. The owner finally after seeing we texted a number of times “TEXTED” not called my wife to tell her the park was actually closed. She was just to busy this week to update their website, answer a text inquiring about the park’s status, or tell us we would not have access to the rest of the park amenities. She had no issue taking our money, but really didn’t care we were being ripped off. Oh wait she did offer the standard 10% military discount if I sent her a picture of my military ID. She could have taken one minute out of her day to answer our first text and let us know the park was closed. Problem solved!! She could have done so many things to fix the issue but she did absolutely nothing but take our money. By far the worst campground we have stayed at in our many travels across the United States. Sadly this is a veteran owned business, because I would not want other veterans to think they are special if they still come here to stay. I absolutely do not recommend staying at BATL Ranch RV Resort.

This was a surprising gem and not only had a campground but a day use area as well. Not sure how it faired in the recent fire but when we were there it was absolutely beautiful. Great fishing and some nice swim holes. I would come here to camp in the future.

Was fun I enjoyed the creek being right by and for being off the side of the road it's tucked away well and not much noise from the highway.
