We had a very long trip from Arizona to Oregon in our RV. We didnt know what to expect when we arrived at Christie campground. Surprisingly the place was very nice, cleaned restrooms, campsites, and very friendly, accommodating hosts by Mary and Dianne were fantastic. We had a great experience there so on the way back, we stayed again at the same site, #20. We hope to return someday in the near future. Beautiful moon during our stay.

A magical experience close to the lake abundant with wildlife. The cuttiest little chipmunks. Our camp hosts were wonderful. Clean bathrooms, friendly people, couldn't ask for more.

Christie campground is a beautiful campground! Our family go once a year for a three day camping, swimming, bike riding and fishing! Beautiful location and the host are great and they keep everything so clean. Thank you for a wonderful vacation! We plan a tye dye shirt there too. They turn out great!!♥️

Christie campground was wonderful. It’s clean, quiet, shaded, and close enough to the lake and marina for kayaking. There’s a 5 mile paved bike trail that goes to the marina as well. The onsite camp hosts are the best: Helpful, kind, and organized. There is firewood for sale that burned better than the wood we brought. Water spigots are close to each site. The bathrooms are clean and stocked at all times. Our girl gang felt safe as there are no bears. The ground is powdery dirt so keep that in mind when making shoe choices. We will camp here again.

Flush toilets, cold (yummy!) running water, either reserved or first come campsites... What's not to love?! Onsite hosts were friendly and helpful. Fires are allowed in firepits, and the hosts do have some firewood if you didn't bring any. Map is accurate and easy to read, and posted large at the entrance. (OK, there is no on-site shower, but it's a VERY short walk to the lake...) The paths are well marked, some are paved and easy to walk or ride a bike on, and there is a path(or dirt road if you want to drive) from the campground to the picnic area just south. Quiet hours are 10pm-8am and most folks are cognizant courteous.

Best camp hosts ever!

We love this place. Normally not as busy as Merrill is.

We camped here for the Fourth of July weekend at a group site. Our group had a really good time! The site was large enough for us to fit a 30ft travel trailer and 2 ram trucks and a Subaru Impreza. We couldn’t fit our 4th car, a mid-size SUV at our spot but we just paid $10 (for two nights) to park it in the overflow parking area on the campground. There wasn’t a lot of spots left, the host said they tend to fill up quickly. Host said you can also park it at the marina (which was more expensive and 5mi down the road). There were two picnic tables at our site, a fire pit with a grate to cook on. We had site #24. It was a short walk to the public restroom, water spicket and trash cans. The bathroom was very clean and there were no obvious spiders haha! The other campers around us were respectful, did get a little loud on the actual Fourth of July which I feel like is to be expected. Things calmed down about midnight. All three nights we had intense thunderstorms that would happen in the late afternoon hours. It would roll in and last about 1 hour. Pretty good amount of rain. It was actually exciting and cooled things off for the rest of the evening since it was so hot in the daytime. Would recommend rain tarps. I’m sure it doesn’t rain each day but we were very glad to have the tarps to protect our stuff. The lake was a short walk (about 10 mins) from our campsite. We spent the day on the beach, which used to be the lake since the water is so low right now. The shore was pretty muddy and gross - the kind of mud that you sink a few inches into. The water had been tested on the 1st and was clear of any hazardous algae but there was quite a bit of algae/plant material floating all in the water. My dog is a golden retriever and she swam a decent amount in it and ended up getting a rash and very itchy from the water. Would recommend rinsing off once you’re at your campsite if possible. There were a lot of dogs at the campground and on the beach. Many people were not watching their off leash dogs on the beach which can be annoying. There’s also a bike path that is about 5 miles, paved and fairly flat that will take you to the marina and through the other campgrounds around the lake. The marina had a general store with a lot of different items. Also they had a food truck and showers.

Love the beach area there and the campgrounds.

Group sites on the sides go back deep and the drinking water is cold. 5 miles to the lake and for 30 bucks for a group site isn't bad. I believe it's 10 a night for the single. The host do circle and slowdown to make sure your leaving, but like 3-4 hours before checkout.
