Just OK. Park could use some TLC - rock for a sewer pipe cover, puddle of water, nonfunctional urinal in mens room, a few junky full-timer spots. Lots of quiet full-timers, people were friendly. Lots of light and freeway noise but to be expected for its convenient location. I slept well with curtains closed. OK for a convenient want-a-beer-after-a-long-day-of driving overnight. Elkins brewery was a plus.

Adequate. Met our needs for a one night stay. Do not get a concrete pad site. They are new but have a several inch drop off on the sides. Only dirt on the sides with no grass and no gravel. With some improvement and maintenance could be a 4 star place.

This is a very nice RV park. We found the customer service very friendly and accommodating. There are tons of tall pine trees providing shade and ambience and the park is well-lit. Our pull-through RV pad was perfectly level, and all the hook-ups were well-located and in great condition. We were provided with the code to the bathrooms and laundry room in our confirmation email, as well as the Wi-Fi password. The wi-fi connection was strong, as was the water pressure. We never had to even visit the office during check-in or check-out. Everything was easy and good. The only reasons I am giving a 4-star review instead of a 5-star review are these, relating to our specific site (site #28) for which we feel the park should address: 1) The huge Lava Land RV Park sign, which had apparently fallen or been blown off in a past storm, was lying on the ground about 15 feet from our trailer door. We enjoy sitting outside in the evening in lawn chairs, and this was a pretty big eyesore. 2) Our site was the first one on the right as you entered the park. We discovered that one of the roads for anyone to use to exit the park was the gravel road between our front door and the fallen sign. It is a pretty narrow road and a little difficult to distinguish (in the evening) between the gravel of our site and the gravel of the road. So, when a car came around the corner and drove right in front of us while we were sitting in our lawn chairs (and our dog was playing right in front of us), we were a little alarmed and slightly shaken by how close their car was to us (and how dangerous it could have been had they been going any faster). There are a couple of other things to consider when booking at Lava Land that are beyond the park's ability to control: 1) The park is located just off the freeway, and you do hear the freeway pretty loudly and clearly. Granted, we were on the row closest to the freeway. Not a concern if you have your AC and TV on, or like the white noise of the freeway. 2) Our site also happened to be located just underneath a brightly lit highway billboard. It got a little in the way of looking at the stars and the sunset. Again, this is out of the park's control, and if you book a site in the back row, this would not be an issue. We would stay here again, for sure. We will just choose a different site # next time.

We made a reservation and paid in full a month before arrival. Unfortunately we did not fit in any site. We were happy that the park gave us a full refund. We wish we could of spent the one night as the park looked pleasant with many trees.

Nice campground, spaces are long drive through spots and very level. Right off I40, so easy stop for overnight stay. Friendly staff, and clean facilities. A little road noise from interstate, but to be expected due to location. There's a nice local brewery at the entrance with several well made options!

Great little rv park for staying overnight while traveling. Has a brewery on site. Highly recommend tasting and grabbing a few beers to take back. 😋

Okay, I knew it was easy access from I-40, so I can’t really fault the park for that, but the trucks are loud. I’d much rather hear the train in the distance all night than the trucks. The bathrooms are acceptable, but please fix the locks on the stalls. Sites are very narrow, but the concrete pads are new and are they level! There seems to be a good deal of workers staying here, which kind of makes it a little sketchy (just a feeling, nothing happened but single women might want to know this). The dog run is tiny, in the back corner and pretty useless. It also appears that many persons believe that if their dog uses the edge of the camp road near the expressway that they don’t have to clean it up. Nasty folk do that-pick up after your dogs, people! Would I stay here again? I don’t know, with at least 5-6 other RV parks within 25 miles, I might try somewhere else. In regards to the Good Sam discount, we booked on line and it was honored. Also, we did get the discount off the advertised price.

Sites were nice, bathrooms/showers were very clean. They were very helpful when we checked in and overall really enjoyed our stay. They even had two small dog runs so our pups got to play a bit.

Basic campground No one in office so you check in on tablet outside front door. The cable doesn't work & had issues with pedestal Young man that work's there did offer us to move sites but 30 amp worked so didn't move after being set up already.. Mainly Long term residents about 8 sites for overnight stays Interstate traffic noise wasn't bad being right off HWY. Brewery next to office Ok if you just need a overnight Stay

Park a mess, garbage piles all 3 days we were there. Road noise all 24 hours, big rigs shifting and lots of construction. Lots of full time folks. We are a Big RV, the only one there - Promised pull thru instead got neighbors parking in it. No help getting our drive way clear ...definitely will not recommend park or return

We pulled in here, not to stay but to ask for some help! On the road, having left a campsite, our fresh water drain snapped and leaked all of our water. Quick repair thanks to a hardware store close by. Pulled into Lavaland RV and the young man working there generously let us fill up our fresh water tank for free. We felt like they were very kind to do so.

We stayed here for an overnight and had an overall good experience. This is no frills place, sites are level enough not to have to unhook but fairly small. Most sites are gravel but it looks like they are upgrading some sites with concrete pads. It’s about 50/50 long term and short term. We found the long term campers friendly and didn’t see any issues with the condition of their sites. I wouldn’t call this big rig friendly though there were a couple of pretty big rigs that managed to get parked. Bathrooms were clean enough and recently remodeled. There isn’t anyone in the office on weekends and the check in process could use some refinement. We observed an issue with other campers on a reserved site already being occupied and someone with the authority to sort it out did come to take care of it. We loved the brewery, nice selection of good brews. There were several options for delivery of pizza , subs and appetizers from local restaurants. We ended up ordering from surf shack on the recommendation of one of the long term campers and it was good. We could tell the owners are making improvements as they can, overall a nice enough place with friendly atmosphere.
