Late For Dinner
Great swimming spot no life gaurds. Many picnic tables and dogs walking. Lots of parking and boat launch.

Beautiful views and proximity to my daughter's friend aside, this park is in poor shape. Some of the roads and sites are in very rough physical shape, many sites show as available to rent but did not have functioning utilities, sites need mowing, awnings over picnic tables in serious need of repair. If a private owner could purchase and upgrade the park, it would be really nice.

Its was great experience watching lake from here. It was weekend but not crowded and so calm . Definitely you can pay $5. Lovely place. Sorry about that I just forgot take pictures of place.

Accessibility issues abound here. Good for lake faring folks but basic picnic goers could find better sheltered places with short driving distance at another sibling lake. The glory days of CCC are long gone; budgetary constraints induce the traditional decline in facilities but the grounds are trimmed for the enjoyment of the few that use the shelters.

The view of the lake is breathtaking. The park host was very kind and professional. I appreciate that the park has septic available. I think the park may not have funding because the fence cable is rusted, and fence posts are severely decomposed and leaning. I noticed that the lots could use repavement, and electrical conduit boxes are old and need to be upgraded. The road on some areas may also need repavement. The main office roof seems to need repairs and is currently covered with FEMA blue tarp. It gives the beautiful park a rundown appearance. Other than aesthetical deficiencies, I will still give this beautiful peaceful park a solid 💯! I highly recommend you to come see the beautiful view of the lake and enjoy the park's amenities.

Did some tent camping here. The scenery is nice. The bathroom/shower house was clean and stocked. Make sure you bring a portable stove or a grill with you as the grills at the park are all either broken or rusted out. The campsites do have a picnic table at each site. Some sites have power and water and the costs will reflect which site you choose.

Great location in proximity to Dallas, Rockwall is a nearby city with lots of eating and shopping options and only 10-15 minutes away. Campground has spacious sites with full hookups but isn’t maintained very well (mowing). This location is VERY quiet if you’re looking for a peaceful quiet campground.
