Lazy Llama Campground

Just wasn’t what I expected. It’s a permanent residence to about 90% of the campers there. Didn’t see any llamas, and the garden…well let’s just say if weeds are a garden, then I’m also a master gardener. The hosts were very very nice, but unfortunately that isn’t enough for more stars. It was clean, just underwhelming. Maybe the website needs to be more realistic with its pictures and descriptions. The location is nice, it’s only 8 min into town. You camp here for convenience and affordability not for an experience, unfortunately.

Very quiet RV Park. Came from AZ for the week. Under newer management and they seem determined to do it right - did meet the owner and caretaker. We've been here one week so far; the weather has been beautiful! Nice trees and grass, get to see the Llamas each evening as we're pretty close on lot #30. Convenient to Greenville and Morristown. Would definitely recommend!

We have been here for 5 months and have loved it! This place has a small family/ community feel and everyone helps everyone. It’s clean, quiet, well cared for and of course has llamas that are fun to see and go up and talk to. I also love that there is propane right here on site. I’m so grateful for the help during the cold snow when my water wasn’t working right. We are glad we chose to stay here!

Nice and friendly staff and campers. Definitely a feel good place. Tina and her husband were a tremendous help. Everything from the community garden to the llamas were amazing. One of a kind

We have been wanting to visit the Lazy Llama for a couple of years now. With that being said the website pictures are really deceiving. The Lazy Llama is more of a permanent resident campground or long term rental. It could be so much more than what it is. If you come to visit, make sure you stay in one of the pull through sites. Site 26 is the perfect spot. Great shade and the best view from the back of the camper. We really enjoyed the spot. We had a great time the few days that we were here. Saturday morning started off a little rough due to a small ball field being next door that had a very loud speaker. We did call the office and I believe the ladies name was Tracy that we spoke to. She took care of the situation and assured us that this did not usually happen. She also takes care of the Llamas. She took us up to have a great visit with all the Llamas. Wonderful animals and very friendly. Tracy was super nice also. Even though the campground was not this quaint little campground that we expected, we had a great trip. Would I come back??? I probably would for a three day weekend as long as the Llamas are there and available. Very long trip due to the traffic in Knoxville, so not worth the trip for just a weekend warrior. Not a place for kids, nothing to do but for us older folks, yes. With some money injection, this would be a super great place.

Have our Tiny House on Wheels (THOW) RV parked here while we search for a new house. Beautiful park, really great people!

Very quite, super polite, over all awesome getaway! The Llama farm is very well kept, and super cute. The Llama hay ride on Saturdays is a must! Jerry and his wife ( the owners) take great pride and care in what they are doing and it shows. We had spot 31 at the top of the hill( great for cardio) and even better for the views of the surrounding area and of course the fur babies! We only live an hour away and are sure to make a return trip!

Great little park. Just far enough away from everything but still access to grocery stores. Big Rig friendly but need to get directions from the park. Your GPS will betray you on this one. The owners are very nice. Llamas, donkeys, goats, chickens, and a miniature horse. We would have provided a 5 star rating however the grounds keepers ( not the owner) repeatedly sprayed cut grass on the side of our rig after politely asking them to be more aware.

This is an amazing place. Just finished the llama hike and it was GREAT!! Loved petting all the sweet llamas and the babies are so cute. The Campground is very nice, clean and with some easy pull through sites. The llamas were right in front of our RV when we arrived. They are also just about finished with a beautiful home that will be on Airbnb. Jerry and Carolyn are the nicest people and loved sharing stories of the farm. I would highly recommend you plan a visit but book early to ensure availability.
