they were very rude to me and told me I was not welcome and the hung up the phone. I am 55 with a white Ram Promaser camper van that i use for work following Pipeline. Was in the area and saw this park. It sounded AWSOME. I thought it would be a great place to relax on my days off. The lady on the phone said I was not their type and that I would "fit in with those people at the Valley Gateway RV park down the road and not to call back!! Their website specificly call for construction crews to stay there. I am not sure why but I feel dirty for having had to listen to her.

Our first time here and we loved it! It’s well maintained, the staff is friendly as well as the residents. Some sites are permanent and some are seasonal. We stayed in a seasonal site. Site is a pull through big enough to house our class A rig and a smaller trailer. Not a lot of shade, so summer camping wouldn’t work but it’s perfect for winter getaway. Laundry is $1.50 wash and $1.25 dry. Showers appeared clean, however we didn’t use them. There’s a nice gathering place where from November til March they serve one breakfast, one lunch and 1 dinner per week for a small fee. The food here is excellent! Can’t get a better meal anywhere else. This park is located 1.5 hours from South Padre Island which is a nice place to visit. We enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Sandbur Heaven is the real name. NOT a place for pets or kids. The Owner needs to spend a little time and money on weed control and grass seed. Nice location could be an amazing place. Sounds like they prefer to run on a shoe string budget. They don't even put gravel on the roads. They use a chip clay very slick and messy when wet. Do NOT ride a motorcycle on them when damp. When I mentioned the sandburs and ants ( o yes lots & lots of ants ) to an employee, their answer was ( It is A Ranch! ) This must make poor grounds keeping OK . Was also told no fish in fishing pond, water has gone bad and killed them. Now it's a weed bed for mosquito.

We stayed here a week at the end of March. Park was not very full so it was very quiet. Also very peaceful setting out of the city on a back country road. One half of park is senior residents in park models and other half RVs. Sites are in grass (mostly dead when we were there) with a small concrete pad to set chairs or grill on. Pool area nice but actual pool could use an updating. Lots of chipping and kinda dirty but still cool and refreshing on a hot day in TX. Library, puzzle room, shuffle and bocce ball. Rec hall for gatherings. Didn’t use laundry or restrooms but looked well kept. Facilities are just a bit outdated but still ok. Lots of space to walk and a small pond with some ducks to enjoy some nature. 25-30 minutes from town but a country store on the corner has all the essentials you might need if you are out of something. Wi-Fi in park was spotty. T-mobile service was pretty good with a few spots here and there. Verizon not as good and only worked in certain areas. Decent price for a week at $150.

You MUST stay here. My wife and I stayed here from January to August. My wife is a travel nurse and this community took us in and treated us like family. Everyone is so wonderful, Jim and his lovely wife were without a doubt the most welcoming and caring camp hosts we have ever encountered. The grounds are well kept, there is no lacking of fun things to get into, and there's always a friendly face to give you a smile wherever you go. Please, if you are traveling through the area either short term or long term, do yourself a favor and check out Lazy Palm Ranch. We have zero complaints after almost 8 full months. Best campground we've stayed at in our 3 years on the road.

Have to be over 50 to stay, great space to park your camper.... or buy a lot. Lots of little places within Driving distance, closest big town is 20 mins. However, they have daily activities and weekly meals. Live on staff is AMAZING! Greatest little hidden gem! Highly recommended 💖 Mz. Beau

This is a quiet, well kept, very friendly rv park. We very much enjoyed our time here. There are lots of burrs in the grass that was a little difficult to manage with dogs at first. I bought them booties and after a month or so i guess we had wore them out of our spot? They werent as bad as the unlived in spots. I walked the pavement road alot for exercise and loved looking at the live stock also. Would stay here again. Its in a nice country spot and 30 mins or so from Edinburg. The sky at sunset was beautiful so clear and pretty. The only rv park ive ever stayed at that would bring quarters to my camper for laundry when i would call to see if anyone was in the office to come get them. Jim is very nice my dogs loved him would even try to climb on his golf cart with him 😂

Lazy Palms Ranch is a very nice RV park. We selected it because of the reviews, amenities, and location. It's north of Edinburg so you are in the country. We arrived early October 2020 and stayed for two months. Because of COVID all indoor activities have been canceled. We left because there was really nothing to do at the park. Jim, the manager is totally awesome! He goes above and beyond to help his guests! The pool heater was broken when we left don't know if it has been fixed. The burrs and goat head thorns are terrible, so if you have a bike put green slime in your tires. We would definitely stay at Lazy Palms again.

If you like millions of goathead stickers, no grass, water that you can't drink, and over 20 miles from the nearest grocery store, then this is the place for you.

Nice park but horrible burs in the grass. Doubt there is anything that can be done about them, but don't let your long haired pets out except on a mat. There are no cement pads in the large rv sites. Lots of cool birds including Ibis.
