Overview
Leadville RV Corral offers a unique opportunity to stay in the highest incorporated city in North America. Situated at over 10,000 feet, this park provides a comfortable base camp for exploring the rugged beauty of the Colorado Rockies. Unlike remote campgrounds, this facility focuses on convenience and accessibility, blending the charm of a historic mining town with the essential needs of modern RVers. It is an ideal stop for those seeking high-altitude adventures without sacrificing proximity to local services.

The park is perfectly positioned within walking distance of downtown Leadville, allowing guests to explore the Victorian-era architecture and local eateries easily. You are surrounded by the dramatic peaks of the Sawatch Range, including Mount Elbert and Mount Massive. The crisp mountain air and panoramic alpine views define the experience here. While the park itself is a gravel-based urban lot, the surrounding natural landscape offers endless exploration in the San Isabel National Forest.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Adventure is just steps away from the park. Cyclists and walkers will enjoy the Mineral Belt Trail, a 11.6-mile paved loop that winds through historic mining districts. History enthusiasts should visit the National Mining Hall of Fame and Museum or take a tour of the Matchless Mine. For water-based recreation, Turquoise Lake is a short drive away, offering fishing, boating, and scenic picnic spots. The area is also a premier destination for hiking and mountain biking.
Who This Park Is Best For
Leadville RV Corral is perfect for history buffs and outdoor enthusiasts who prefer being close to the action. It is an excellent choice for travelers who want to walk to dinner or browse local shops after a day of hiking. They just called to cancel the reservation I made months ago for what I know is a busy race weekend, now less than two weeks away with no more explanation than “that site is double booked” no other options for us in town now. I would recommend that if you’re coming in for an event and don’t want your lodging reservation cancelled at the last minute that you avoid this business.

We stayed in one of their tiny houses. WAY to expensive for what it was, the quality, and the cleanliness. We had to have a pet friendly unit because we wanted a lower level sleeping area. They don't change out the comforter between guests, which was obvious by all the pet hair on it. Its nice it has the ability to cook in the unit but all dishes and silverware had to be washed before using. The microwave and coffee pot were filthy. They used a barn door for the bathroom and it didn't open all the way and only stayed closed if you used the hook to secure it. There were 3 nails in the jamb of the bathroom door that hadn't been nailed in. The unit was cute, the idea behind it was great, the execution poor.

The area looks nice with tiny homes and RV spots but the man we made contact with on site wasn't welcoming. He told us the place was rented out and didn't propose anytime to rent in the future. Maybe we caught him at a bad moment but either way we didn't feel welcomed at all. Very sad.

Just a little bit outside of town. We stayed at the tiny houses. Super quiet. There is many restaurants near by. And the view is stunning.
