Very nice state park about 20-25 minutes North of Las Cruces. Next to the Rio Grande River this park overs a quiet scenic place to camp overnight or to hike the trails inside the park. There was a lot of trees, nice mountain views, good bird watching opportunities and native cactus and other plants. Clean restroom and shower facilities along with nice campsites that were spread apart for privacy. A nice place to take a little ride for the afternoon

Clean and well kept campsites with beautiful views of the desert. Not a lot to do, but very relaxing.

Travelining in a F250 towing a Jayco flight 262. Used site 11 for 24 hours. Site was clean. Most turns are tight, so arrive according to your vehicle size and driving/backing talent. The gate closes at sunset, larger vehicles may need daylight to maneuver. For the late night returners,a code entry is avaliable upon check-in.

This is a well maintained campground. Each RV site had a small shelter over the picnic table. There are several trails for hiking around the campground. However, this particular park doesn't have access to the lake.

Large camp spots each spot comes with a covered table pavilion they do have flush toilets and showers but we were there a week and never saw them clean the showers.

Had a wonderful time! The park was clean and quiet. The group camping spot my party was at had a couple of private covered picnic tables with fire pits. There was one large roofed picnic area next to built-in, large charcoal grills. We did not have any pets but saw other groups around who had dogs.

Great camping area. The sites on the lake do not have electricity; we stayed at a site that does. The restrooms/showers were a short walk away. There is a trail that runs along the lake- very picturesque. We stayed in winter so there weren’t many people there. I imagine it’s busy in the warmer months.

Nice campground with great views and covered picnic table areas. Not much water this time of the year, but openness and views were special. Water and electricity only with a nice shower house and dump station. Mostly pull thru sites, making it big rig friendly.

Lovely desert campground. Only stayed here on night passing through but the campground was great. Cement pad, water and electricity, covered picnic table, dump station. Everything we needed for one night. There is a trail by the campground that will take you to the Rio Grande with a little swim area. Campground was nearly full but very quiet. Pretty surroundings with the mountains and river.
