Really nice KOA in a great location with a trail that led to the river. Facilities were very good and clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Garbage pickup in front of your RV site was really nice. Very quiet area but close to Safeway and easy access to town. Internet and cable TV service was good.

I lodged at a KOA campground in September, when children were back in school. The town was remarkably quiet, with tourist activity significantly decreased from the summer months. We opted to stay in a cabin at this KOA location, as we preferred to be somewhat removed from Leavenworth's commercial area. The cabin was immaculately clean, featuring a queen-size bed, a bunk bed suitable for younger children, a kitchen area equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, coffee machine, dishes, and a bathroom with a tub and shower. (The water pressure was excellent.) I consider this a superior alternative to hotel accommodations. The campground offers a pool and various outdoor activities, ensuring a comfortable stay. As the facility is pet-friendly, we were able to bring our dog. My wife and I were thoroughly impressed by the meticulous maintenance of the properties.

My first time staying here. I rented a small very basic camping cabin. It was fine though personally I thought the full sized bed could have been a little firmer. The restroom/comfort station appeared to have been recently renovated or not very old. The water for the shower was of a constant pressure and remained warm for the entire time.

I gave this campground a 5star because it truly was a great experience was KOA however their third party float company was atrocious. Be warned the river has a current so staying out in front of the campground area is difficult unless tied up. Yet the entire river is private owned so you can’t take out anywhere once you decide your float is over. I was given different information from the same lady at the Osprey float company regarding a one way shuttle service back to KOA should I use my own equipment. One day it was yes the next day was “we don’t do that” but the guy issuing the floats said they do offer that. She told me I was being a difficult customer but it’s confusing to me since where I live and float often, you put in the river and take out wherever you want. The Osprey trailer on the campgrounds was always closed and their phone number voicemail states they do not respond to messages left but instead just keep calling back until someone answers. I think KOA should be more descriptive about the limited river access, current and explain with the rapids, one would not be able to paddle back up river. It starts being a safety hazard if campers are not aware. Other than the above I was pleasantly surprised how friendly staff was and the abundance of staff at all times. I was shocked the deluxe cabin had AC. There was no need to even pack food since Safeway is three minutes walking distance.

This is a wonderful place to go If you have children. It is extremely packed in tight as sardines and you are not allowed to go one person over the limit or have any extra tents or cars unless you pay a very high fee. Lots of amenities for the kids which is great but because of all the amenities, it's a very expensive place to stay. if you don't want that kind of loud crowded atmosphere, look somewhere else. Great location, could walk to town. Has a darling little gift shop with everything you need, also a ice cream and coffee booth. Our kids had a blast. We did have extremely poor service checking in and was treated very poorly by the lady working behind the desk. Each time we went in to try to deal with her, she was the same way. The other people we dealt with were were all great 🙂
