What a beautiful, clean campground in an urban area. Staff is friendly and everything is clean and updated, including restrooms and laundry. Plenty of hiking and biking right out of the park. Have very much enjoyed our stay and highly recommend.

Maybe many minnesotans prefer lake houses over campgrounds, or long winter seasons make it inoperable, I had a hard time finding camp grounds from Google map near Minneapolis. Finally chanced through the "regional parks" (unique only to Minnesota ???) and found this one particular site. And of course the registration only opens up in March. I was lucky enough to plan in advance and jump in early snatched a spot for my small trailer in July. What a wonderful and quiet spot right in Apple Valley. 5 min from the Zoo and highways, and 10min from major shopping areas, it is about 28min from downtown without traffic. The campsite was paved, SPACIOUS and clean and well cared for, with nice shades and quiet family campers. Shower house is clean although water pressure can be low at times but acceptable. Just a pleasant set up as I imagined how Minnesota feels like! Did I mention about the park itself? It is large and somewhat nested as several pieces through multiple neighborhoods. We fished at a couple of the ponds with little to show for but mostly due skill limitations. Overall among top tier campsites we have visited this far!

The grounds are great. Cool place to camp, but the reviews about the camp Nazis are pretty accurate. I usually don't mind but coming in late from another site and another County where the mosquitoes were horrendous late at midnight already paid for the site and couldn't get my camp set up daughter sleeping in the car. We just fell asleep and we got a park ranger or whatever driving up and shining a spotlight on us and then backing up and parking and sitting there. So I had to get up wake up, walk down and say what's the problem said that I didn't have a tag on my post or whatever. That's not my problem. I'm not the one that does that. I don't have tags so thanks for waking us up and making us feel uncomfortable right off the bat. Then the next day we got these guys in their little Gators driving around and they they slow down to take a peek and look into our camp which there's nothing wrong with our camp at all. There's nothing wrong with us so it's kind of annoying and they're pretty nosy. The other campers have respect. I don't glare into your campsite and stare as they go by but the staff can't resist. I paid for my site. I abide by the rules and I expect to be not messed with or spotlighted in the middle of the night.

Beautiful place to stop at for the weekend. It wasn’t full hook ups so remember to be conservative with your water and fill up your fresh tank before you get there. The spot we had was right next to the water and the lake view was breathtaking. This Rv campgrounds is definitely one for the books and a place we’d like to return to. You can jet ski, boat, and of course fish. The campgrounds are well maintained and they also have a great park and beach like area. So much space to relax and unwind. We drive a 25ft class B with one slide. I saw much larger RVs navigating the park with ease. Great walking and bike trails, and much more.

Well kept grounds, nicer fire pits with grilling options. Pads are mostly level but flat for easy setup. Friendly staff, free wifi (if you're close enough). Playground, hiking, ponds, nature, and very little city noise aside from the airplanes, great if you have little ones that love airplanes! Very close to the zoo!

We like the park very much and it is very well maintained. Unfortunately, site 82 has a troubling slant. After four days, we have discovered that a refrigerator will not run when parked on this site. The site should come with a disclaimer or be reserved for tents only. The management is extremely courteous, but they had no other places to, move us. We have lost a good share of the food in our freezer.

CJ is so good at servicing the guests. We were only an overnight in our motorhome recently and he provided us with sufficient information and a full service site. Very clean and tidy spot. Paved space. Easy access to the services along the one side and at back. Wish we had time to stay longer. Shall plan better for next time. Hoping it will be sooner than a year from now.

We loved staying at Lebanon Hills Campgrounds! We were in the East Loop site 87. We stayed for 4 days in August in a camper van. The sites are a great size, wooded and private. The bathrooms/showers were clean every time we used them. The grounds were kept up great. The employees, CJ, Mike and Tyler were so helpful and friendly. They directed us to the hiking, biking trails and beach. Always easy to find staff if we had a question. We loved going to the office everyday to get an ice cream treat. You can't beat the location. You would never know you are right in the middle of the city. Very family friendly.

We stayed at Lebanon Hills Campground for 4 days and I was so surprised at this hidden gem in the metro! I had no idea that this beautiful park was just 20 minutes from my house! CJ, Lisa and Mike are FANTASTIC campground hosts. They made sure that my family had full park information. CJ went above and beyond when I was trying to rent a paddle board in advance on my phone and the website was not working. He called the rental center and ensured I had two boards were reserved. The next day it was raining, he even called and adjusted the times at the rental center! He is the BEST! The campground is clean and beautiful, you'd never know that you are in the middle of the city! I highly recommend going there! We spent a lot of time at the beach and visitor center as well, they are all clean and beautifully maintained! We will be back.

Beautiful, well-maintained campground with three loops. The West loop is full hook up and the sites are close with few trees. The East loop is electric only with public water spigots available. That’s where we stayed and what is pictured. There is a great playground and very nice bath house in the center of the loop. The spaces are massive - you might be able to see part of a neighbor’s rig but barely if at all. Very densely forested. Sites are flat and it’s dark at night. ;-) The North loop is without any electric. It looks like the spaces are not close together and I think they are probably in a forest, too. You are basically in a huge urban park. You’ll hear air traffic every once in awhile but otherwise quiet. You’re within a mile or two of all the civilization you’d ever want and then some. Oh and the people who work here are extremely friendly. Best of all, pets are welcome here unlike at St. Croix Bluffs Regional Park (and one other in the area apparently) who do not allow any pets, not even cats who stay in the RV! If animals are seen through the window you are asked to leave. So it was great to be able to bring our cats here and know all was well. Good luck hiding a cat! One of ours likes to be carried around in a cat backpack so we could do that here, too. Lots of hiking trails. We are definitely going to return. There is a lot of invasive tree of heaven and it looks like it’s been chopped down in places which only makes it come back worse. Gotta poison that stuff or dig it up. I hope that it can be eliminated because the park has so many beautiful flowers and plants otherwise.

Stayed here recently (Aug 2-6, 2021) Really nice campground with some really good trails to walk, bike and run! We're very outdoorsy family and we mountain bike a lot. There's a pretty awesome Mountain Bike trail right outside the campground that's a mile away. Clean, well kept place. There's a Laundromat in the backside of the office. $2 for a load to wash and $1 to dry (which by the way works really good because it dried my bedspread all the way) The site for smaller rigs that only has electricity hookups are pretty sweet. It's more private because it surrounded by bushes as trees and it looks a lot more spacious. LOCATION is best! Less than 15 minutes to the Mall of America and 30 minutes from the spoon and bridge tourist spot. We'll definitely come back here again in the future!

Came here to use the dump station! Charge was 10 bucks and I am 100% ok with the fee. Clean facilities.
