I stayed in cabin #13 across from Cook Shack from June 25th - June 29th, 2025. There was an active infestation of bed bugs in the lofts of the cabin where my daughter and I slept. The infestation was so bad that there is no way that the owners did not know. They just put us in the cabin anyways. If you go through the reviews there is another party that came right after me. The customers had to vacate the cabins once I called the health inspector and they came in. They stated it in the review. It states in the health inspectors report which I have included that there were live bugs in the beds in that area. I was on property for a family reunion where we rented 15 of the cabins on property. We had the reunion there 3 years in a row and will not be returning. What’s the worst part about it is that is not the first time that I got bed bugs on their property in the same cabin, same bed. When I stayed August 3rd-6th, 2023 my daughter and I also got bed bugs. On neither occasion did we receive any compensation or any kind of discount or credit. Both my Father and I called and made many attempts to speak to Alice and her husband but they evaded our calls. It was truly a nightmare. I’m including the report from the health department. There are other reviews if you keep looking of them doing the same scenario to other people. Here’s just a few pictures as proof. I won’t show pictures of all over my body but it was an infestation for sure and the health inspector was very aggravated and knew exactly what I was talking about. To the owners who will see this Alice and her husband shame on you. You should do your due diligence when renting cabins. Everything I went through could have been avoided. If this happens to you call the health inspector to save it from happening to someone in the future!

We had a great time here on Labor Day weekend. This is a very well kept clean place to stay. They have something for everyone to do, even when it rains. Thanks to the great staff for making our very enjoyable. The breakfast was a great start to day.

We enjoyed our stay in cabin #14. The cabin was nice and clean when we arrived. The staff was very polite who checked us in. Breakfast was delivered to us at our cabin in the morning. The lady who delivered breakfast was very cheerful and pleasant. The landscaping was well kept around the cabin. The cabin had a large interior where we could play family games and enjoy time away. The AC worked well. The refrigerator was large. It was everything we needed to enjoy ourselves.

Lee's resort could be so amazing. The grounds where the cabins are seem to be very well taken care of. We pulled our camper and stayed in one of the six nightly RV spots. The RV area is difficult to access and looked like it hadn't been mowed in months. The tall grass made it a haven for bugs. When you walk from the RV area to the main area, you walk past their shop (next to the sport court) and have to see their junk pile of building materials and old appliances. The staff makes check in far more difficult than it needs to be and is pretty unhelpful. We heard many others complain that their cabins had maintenance issues or continually didn't have laundry service done. The pool is supposed to open at 10am (which is late), yet wasn't unlocked until 11am on a saturday. Bummer for kids. We rented a boat. The boat was fantastic. Again, the customer service was poor. Staff was 20 minutes late to show up to the dock and they didn't have life vests for kids under 50lbs, which they said they did. Overall, Lee's could be a gem at the lake but the management is clearly not focused on customer service. Likely would not return.

This was a trip from a nightmare!! Cabin was extremely dirty, our feet were black after taking out shoes off to bring our suitcases inside. The cabin door didn’t lock from the inside, I have toddlers and our cabin was lakefront with a big drop off into water! There were boards on the ceiling hanging off with nails exposed. The hot tub was an inflatable tub and was scorching hot and stinky. The pool fence is about 4 feet tall with no latch on the gate! Little kids and toddlers could easily access the pool while playing on the swing set near the pool! The kitchen and staff were very hostile and upset when I pointed out I was charged an extra 200$ at checkout… they did refund me after quite some explaining and showing them the math on a calculator. This trip was one of the worst ever. This is not resort…more of a dirty trailer park vibe. I highly recommend not booking here. Hopefully they can fix the place up and make it how it once was (in the advertised photos it looks nice…it was nothing like the photos!)
