This is a very good campground. They have 50 amp full hook up sites and sit right next to Lake Huron with amazing views. The lighthouse museum was closed when I was there but still able to walk around the beautiful grounds. This is also a great spot for stargazing. The nights I was there, the Milky Way was out in full force. There is not much around, so make sure you bring everything you need.

This was really cool. We did the lighthouse tour and the museum. The climb up the spiral staircase is a little tricky but worth the climb up. You can go almost all the way up. The museum was very interesting, and having a volunteer give background history about each display was awesome. Might even stay in the house on the property next time, minimal fee per week, and help out around the grounds.

Campground and Lighthouse museum. I camped here for 5 days. Nice, very quiet campground right on Lake Huron. Beautiful view of the lake. There is no beach as it is a rocky shoreline. There are public beaches nearby (20 min drive). There is a public boat launch with ADA compliant kayak launch. Some full hookup sites. Many seasonal trailers. Other sites are electric only. The facility also offers 6 cabins for rent. You can see freighters on the horizon (5 miles out) cruising the Great Lakes. Look for free phone apps that allow you to track freighters on the lakes. The lighthouse and museum are very interesting. Guided tours are $5 adult, $3 child (Thurs-Sun). This is still a working lighthouse, maintained by the US Coast Guard.

We have had an RV there for 5 yrs. In addition to the stunning views & historic features at this park, the staff is top notch! The restroom/showers are always clean. The Park is always upgrading historic buildings brought in & the small museum is an asset.

Unexpectedly beautiful camping on Lake Huron, Michigan. Thumbs up to Diane the park manager- she was very helpful, friendly on the phone and in person. Neighbors recommended this park. We couldn’t have been more pleased. Woke up with a water view every day, walked the well-groomed hiking paths, enjoyed the nearby towns, especially The Store in Port Hope.
