Only used the laundromat. It was okay. Hot inside but clean. Washers worked fine; dryers are very hot. Only a $1.50 to wash and $1.00 to dry.

Great RV Park just outside of Matagorda, TX. Don't let the looks deceive you. It's safe, friendly folks and great little cafe. Quiet. Some people live there and there is an rv graveyard but in general it's a nice cg. Best chicken fried steak I've ever had. Very reasonably priced food. Small convenience store. 35/ night, full hookups. Lots of fishing and kayaking opportunities close by.

The site itself was adequate. Level, paved, hookups and picnic table. The reason for the low rating is the bathroom and shower. They are in poor condition and dirty to the point of unsanitary. For $35 a night we expect showers that are useable. We had to bring toilet paper into the bathroom, there was a dirty bucket in the shower and the facilities appeared to be falling apart with much deterioration to the walls and floors. When we asked the front about the shower, they acted as if it was fine! We chose not to use the shower it was that bad, and we really needed one. We had a small engine problem and were forced to stay two nights until we could get it fixed. The office is nice and accommodating and if you don’t need to use their shower or toilet this place will be fine for you. Water from the site hookups was tinged yellow but didn’t feel slimy. Lots of mosquitos, too. Hope this helps!

Under new management and new owner. I've been staying here for about one month. Monthly price is fair for the area. I like that it has a store, restaurant, laundry mat, shower house, and a shaded commons area for picnic. The park grounds are very well maintained(lawn mowed and manicured). Restaurant is excellent except for BBQ(they pre-make and freeze) Restaurant has very clean, staff is very friendly, and food is home-made. The park manager Christie is very accommodating. She aims to please. If you have any issues she will personally fix them. I have two issues, the road has alot of deep pot holes and shower house needs house keeping(needs to be cleaned).

We spent 2 nights, PA was $52.50pn. Regular rate $35pn.. Quiet, low key, store, cafe which we heard (from staff) that it was really good but we did not try. Neglected park, has full timers on one side far from us but we were the only over nighters there. Said they had cable but ours did not work. Informed them but they never fixed it nor did they try. Concrete strips, picnic tables, small laundry. With a little upgrading, this park could be a little gem but it suited our needs just fine. Friendly check in.
