My husband booked a cabin for our wedding anniversary this weekend. The location is amazing and the property is beautiful. When requesting the cabin we asked that it be on the river so we could fish, that it have a fire place and kitchenette so we could stay there instead of eating out, and that it have a jacuzzi. When we checked in and got our keys we immediately couldn't get the fireplace to work and had to try to fix the blinds. They were broken apart in so many places that you could openly see bed from the window in the door. They were "fixed" with a clothes pin for privacy. We called the office and was told "it would take a while" but she would send someone to light the fireplace. We walked down to the dock and decided against fishing that night because of the holes and rotten wood. There were no signs posted saying otherwise but im sure its not safe and could be an insurance hazard. We then decided to make our grocery list and go to the local store for dinner. When we arrived back to the cabin we began to prepare to cook. The stove in the kitchen had no power. 3 hours had passed since our first call so we called again. This time we were told that "he is busy cooking dinner and there are 2 people ahead of you and then he will be over." We decided to make a fire on the ground out of rocks to cook our pan items while my husband cooked on the grill provided. (Big enough for 2 steaks) After it was nearly finished, someone drives up in a golf cart with a hand held torch. He went inside and lit the fireplace but came out and told me "I don't know what to tell ya about the stove. I couldn't get it to come on." At this point our rock stove had worked so it wasn't a huge deal. Five minutes after he left the fireplace went back out. There was a split electric unit that luckily was functional because it was 50⁰ on the thermostat. After we finally got dinner finished and the cabin warmed we decided to use the hot tub.... and you guess it, it didn't work. 😒 When we went to turn in the keys the next morning we were told Mr Lindsey would be calling at lunch to help make it right... its been over 24 hours and we still have not recieved a call. We paid nearly $400 for a single night in a cabin without any functioning amenities. We stay in cabins often and this was the most expensive place we've stayed and it wasn't even as clean as it should have been for the price.

Love this place! It's definitely convenient if you have a big family or party coming into to town, because all of the cabins are within walking distance from each other. We didn't get to try the restaurant, but we hope to next time!

I’ve been staying at Lindsey‘s for now on 40 years… We always look forward to the adventure until the last three years… I was putting a cabin this time called overflow but was a little two bedroom hut with bed so hard you couldn’t sleep on them you could tell me haven’t been taken care of at all and still charged $130 a night.. They were booked out for the weekend due to wedding so I couldn’t change rooms so we managed.. The trout dock is falling apart.. Actual boards falling in… The property is not being taken care of anything like it was before it was sold to a corporation… It’s very sad…. I think this will be my last time enjoying a trout fishing adventure there.. Very disappointed staff doesn’t care… The place is falling in…

My family used to visit Lindsey's resort every summer for our family reunion so, I decided to make the trip this year to share the experience with my children. Upon arrival nostalgia kicked in and I was very much excited to bring my children to a place I had such fond memories of. However, as much as my heart loves this place it left me with much to be desired. The motel style rooms are adequate and as I expected. Clean, tidy and functional. The particular AC unit in our room struggled to keep up with the heat but cooled down at night for comfortable sleep. (A future upgrade will definitely be needed for the unit). The grounds were well kept. Outside of the pool which wasn't functional and very green. A great disappointment for my family as this was a selling point for us and we had planned to utilize it often. We had to leave the resort to occupy accompanied children. The overall feel of the place is nostalgic and wonderful. Although not much has changed in the last 20 years of my previous visits. Except for the additional spotty wifi and oddly enough Tesla chargers? The staff was great, friendly and helpful. Overall Lindsey resort is wonderful but I wish it had some better upkeep compared to some of the other surrounding resorts. The pool especially. I'm unsure if I will return in the future unless some changes are made. But still, I had a great time sharing this trip with my family.

We had such an awesome experience here. This was our first time and we were so impressed with how neat and clean the property and rooms were. It exceeded our expectations. I saw some bad reviews so I wasn't sure what to expect. The prices are great and the staff and residents in the area were so nice and welcoming. This will be our new favorite place. The views are amazing, the resort is quiet and peaceful, and you can't beat the fishing! They have fishing tours and boats to rent. What more could you ask for for a weekend getaway!
