Dunes are not of interest to us, but looked like a cool spot for those into that type of recreation. Not sure why it's a state park, seems more like a recreational area. Can't access dunes unless you're in/on a recreational vehicle.

Had a blast!! Unfortunately the side trails in the brush were difficult to ride on a dirtbike, but we had a blast otherwise! The campgrounds were pretty decent, and the other visitors were friendly and respectful. There aren't a lot of choices for food or shopping near by, so make sure you take what you need or plan to drive to a nearby town to get some supplies. The sandsports stores in the area are pretty good, with friendly staff and lots of gear that may be needed for your visit. There were only 2 options that I found for premium fuel, one one was 30 cents cheaper than the other.

This place is open 24 hours a day, I made it perfect for me and my daughter to go see the perseids meteor shower. The only downfall is the moon was out and really bright that night, but that's not the parks fault.

Nice little dunes destination for ATVs and side-by-sides. Lots of trail riding and some open dunes area. Hills are not very big, but there is enough flat space for some short drag racing. There is plenty of full hookup RV spaces and tent spaces as well. There is a sand sports store to help with accessories and minor repairs. They say it's usually too hot to ride in summer, so spring and fall are best times to go. You can pretty much ride the whole park in a day.

Absolutely beautiful experience. We camped for 4 days, roughing it (except the bathrooms, showers, & electricity lol). It’s was awesome and serene. Truly a beautiful experience and location. You can ride trails all the way into town from the state park to reup on supplies. Update: went again for memorial weekend 2025 and it was jam packed, it was awesome and everyone is always so nice. They also have a place in town you can rent stuff

This is a really great place to go on the sand dunes with the Utv. It’s $10 a person a day you don’t have to wear helmets. Only kids have to, but the weather is not very good here. Don’t like the weather at all two days ago we had 99° with 50 mile an hour winds And now two days after it’s 42° and raining and windy. It’s not good weather in Oklahoma. And in town, you have to go through the dunes to get to town and there’s only one bar there and one restaurant but they’re only open for like four hours no grocery store only a Dollar General so if I were you make sure you have enough groceries when you come here. You cannot drink on the dunes. They actually check your armband and they check your cooler and make sure you don’t have any booze in there. They have showers and bathrooms pretty nice for a park. They do have sewer, water and electricity. In one part. We just took the electricity and the water. It was fine though. It was a cool experience thank you little Sahara state park! they also have souvenirs in the office here at the Park pretty good souvenir by the way, but they’re only open 8 to 4 and they do have ice you can have fires here but no wood you have to ask the office there is a person that will come here and drop it off for you but don’t know how much. Lots of kids here too riding atv just be careful for them lots of wind here be prepared!!

Just shy of 2000 acres worth of Dunes, Trails, and just overall free-riding. It’s like riding in a completely different world. Make sure you’ve got a flag on your ride, and stay alert to the changing dune conditions. Ride responsibly, be courteous to others riding around you, and most importantly, have fun and enjoy the throttle therapy. Highly recommend for anyone of any skill level. Dirt bike, four wheeler, or side by side, it’s a ton of fun for the whole family. Make sure to stop in over at the Little Sahara Sandsports, just down the road, for any of your parts/flags/accessories. Donnie will get you set up👍🏻

Super fun! Was crowded because we went during spring break so I think normally it wouldn't be too bad but it was still manageable. It was our first time and we got stuck in the first 30 seconds 😂 but some kids helped us out and told us to let the tire pressure down and after doing so we were just fine. Everyone was pretty friendly and it was a great experience. Would definitely come back!
