Littleton / Franconia Notch KOA Holiday

With its tree-shaded, level, and grassy sites, this secluded campground is an extraordinary base for exploring the White Mountains of New Hampshire and Vermont's Green Mountains.

The best way to see the USA up this way is from our KOA. With its tree-shaded, level and grassy sites, this secluded campground is an extraordinary base for exploring the White Mountains of New Hampshire and Vermont's Green Mountains.

Your hosts provide itineraries to point the way around the scenic rural towns and spectacular mountain views. Sitting on the shores of the Ammonoosuc River, you can step from your site right into the river to try your hand at catching a rainbow trout. Hikers can head for Franconia Notch, Crawford Notch, Pinkham Notch, or Kinsman Notch for some world class hiking in the 800,000 acre White Mountain National Forest. Seek wilderness adventure and glorious scenery driving the Kancamangus Highway through the Pemigewasset Wilderness, where pure family fun is around every corner.

The Old Man of the Mountain has collapsed, but fishing in Echo Lake, Profile Lake or riding the aerial tramway 4,180 feet up Cannon Mountain are unbeatable. Mount Washington's cog railway, 25 miles away, chugs up the 6,288-foot summit for some of the grandest scenery in the country. Take the auto road or save the white-knuckle driving for the tour van.

Shop in historic downtown Littleton or at Conway's outlet stores. Enjoy your choice of fine dining to casual in the many restaurants, with traditional New England fare to continental cuisine; you'll always enjoy "the taste of the mountains". Unwind at the end of the day at your site, enjoy the pool, an evening campfire, or an evening walk making new friends with other campers. Order dinner delivered to your site.

We had a great time here at the Littleton Campground. We stayed in a cabin that was very clean and had a heater that kept us plenty warm. A few things that were disappointing - office hours, looks like the bathrooms at the far end on a Sat did not get cleaned, no toilet paper Sat-Sunday, dirty. One of the bathrooms has such a large crack that you can stand outside and look in. Also lighting was not good for anyone having to use restroom in the middle of the night until you are almost at the building “motion light”

I really want to be able to give this place five stars for tent camping - the location relative to the white mountains, the campsite itself, and the people who work there were nothing short of lovely and wonderful. However, the busy road that runs next to the campsite and the neighbors on the other side of the river who forced their tuned up car to repeatedly backfire/play bass-heavy club music for kicks all night made it difficult to get any rest without the insulation of an RV or a cabin. I’d strongly recommend the cabins or to RV here, but probably skip the tent unless you’re the world’s heaviest sleeper.

Local to New Hampshire, about two hours away from here This is my second time visiting here both times we have stayed two nights Not sure if I would recommend or would not recommend The reasons I say that for non-recommendation are due to the campsite being on a main road, so yes, there is traffic noise the whole time you’re here Campsites are directly on top of one another. There are not many trees covering the campsites for shade and putting up your tarps. The pool is very small if you intend on using it on hot days. I would recommend for cleanliness, friendliness of the staff, nice river view, and central location to town and two other areas of things you would like to do. For two week nights, we spent $98 for a tent site for two adults, which I didn’t think was bad at all There are rustic cabins and luxury cabins here for rent. I don’t know anything about them though. Maybe next time I will try another KOA

Lovely little campground. Will definitely stay here again. Sites are a bit close together but everything is quiet and relaxing. This was a quick 2 night trip for us, just to relax and get away from the daily grind. Perfect for that. Also close to so many things to do. Friendly staff, clean and quiet.

We had such a great stay at this campground! The staff were absolutely fantastic—kind, helpful, hardworking, pleasant, and truly conscientious. It was clear they cared about keeping the place running smoothly and making guests feel welcome. The campground itself was very well maintained and affordable, which made the experience even better. We especially appreciated the convenient delivery of ice and firewood right to our site, as well as the frequent garbage pickup throughout the day—a small detail that made a big difference. The showers and restrooms were clean, well-stocked, and clearly cared for regularly. It was refreshing to see that attention to detail. One of our favorite parts was the beautiful river that runs beside the campsites—a perfect backdrop for relaxing. There were plenty of activities for kids, and it was great to see so many families enjoying the outdoors together. Overall, a top-notch camping experience.
