Absolutely loved our stay at Living Forest Oceanside Campground! The location is stunning — surrounded by tall trees, ocean views, and peaceful vibes. The campsites are clean, private, and well-maintained, and the staff are super friendly. We set up our ultralight WindQuester tents right by the water, and the views at sunrise and around the campfire were unforgettable. Perfect spot for both relaxing and testing out gear. Definitely one of the best campgrounds on Vancouver Island! 🌲🔥🏕️

Travelled across Canada, and this was definitely one of our favourite campgrounds. It had a playground (not huge, but it helped the kids burn off some energy). There were canoes and kayaks for rent. Laundry facilities and showers on site, for a fee. The camping spot we got was near the water (up a hill, but with a waterview), and it was quite nice! We would recommend this campground if you're in the area and looking for a place to park your RV or tent.

We stayed for four nights in one of the waterfront spots. All the hook ups I needed were conveniently placed and it was peaceful and quiet. The facilities were dated, but work. The office staff and Cafe staff were fantastic. I also loved that they are pet friendly. If you're lucky, you can watch the seals play in the estuary. We will stay again for sure!

We stayed here in late July, in our motorhome. The staff are lovely, the RV park is well kept, with gorgeous sites and amenities that are well maintained. We were in a spot that was spacious and beautifully treed in on 3 sides. The trails around the park are well maintained and are an absolutely gorgeous, easy walk (walkable by able bodied, not necessarily accessible to wheelchairs, walkers or canes). This is one of our favorite camping spots on the island!

We camp there every single year and we love love it! It's right next to the Nanaimo estuary which is wonderful for swimming and paddle boarding. They also have a cafe and an adult lounge. There is a laundromat as well as a propane fill and in the office they have camping supplies and snacks.

We've had a wonderful stay here for the winter. Arrived in the snow and watched it slowly become spring. Rates are the best and the campground is well maintained. Office staff always went above and beyond our expectations. The online reservation system is very user-friendly and the sites are cleaned and inspected just before you arrive. We look forward to coming back next winter.

I have been here several times and love the campsite,however this occasion we were in Site 236 in a newer area.The sites are very tight and you feel as if you are right on top of your neighbours.The Sani hookup is at the front of the site,and 90% of RV tanks are at the back,so we had to go and buy an extension to our 20ft sewer hose to reach it. Just looks like it was hastily put together.I will make sure to request a better site next time.

Really large campground, right next to some walking trails and the beach. Some sites have power/water hookups. Check out "the wheel" or rent kayaks. Campground has a children's play park. My only complaint is that some sites are very close to your neighbors so privacy and space is limited. Firewood can be purchased here.

What a beautiful place. I had never been and was really hoping to find a place for the summer but they are booked up till December for monthly rates. Staff needs to chill a little and make themselves seen a little bit better. First off they yelled to stop when I was just going to take one of their maps. I could hear but could not see who was yelling at me. I understand (I am also a business manager), that not everyone reads signs but if you are concerned about people entering your office lock it! They speak through this hole in the wall that is covered with poly. Just beside there are windows on either side which they could stand in front of at least at initial greeting rather than. Hiding and yelling. I told him I could hear him but not see him. Young adult fella.... Anyways after that was cleared up he answered questions briefly and I was on my way
