Log Chateau Park

Overview

Log Chateau Park is a family-owned and operated destination situated on over 200 acres of scenic woodland in the heart of the Kawartha Lakes. Since 1967, this park has provided a welcoming atmosphere for RV travelers seeking a blend of natural beauty and resort-style facilities. The park is characterized by its expansive forested grounds, providing a sense of privacy and immersion in nature that is often hard to find in modern campgrounds. Whether you are visiting for a weekend or a full season, the environment encourages a slower pace of life centered around outdoor recreation.

Location & Surroundings

Located just north of the charming village of Fenelon Falls, Ontario, the park serves as a gateway to the Trent-Severn Waterway. The surrounding landscape is a lush mix of dense canopy and rolling terrain, offering a quiet escape from urban noise. While the park itself feels secluded, it remains conveniently close to the local amenities of Fenelon Falls, often referred to as the Jewel of the Kawarthas. This location provides easy access to Cameron Lake and Sturgeon Lake, making it a prime spot for those who enjoy being near the water without sacrificing the shelter of a wooded campsite.

Amenities & Park Features

The park is well-equipped to handle large RVs and offers a variety of site types to suit different needs. Guests can enjoy three heated outdoor pools, which serve as the social hub of the park during the summer months. For those who stay active, the property features several kilometers of wooded hiking and groomed trails perfect for morning walks or cycling. Other notable amenities include multiple playgrounds, a mini-golf course, and dedicated sports pads for basketball and volleyball. The park also provides essential comforts such as clean washrooms, laundry facilities, and a security-gate entrance for peace of mind.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

A short trip from the park brings visitors to the famous Fenelon Falls Lock 34, where travelers can watch boats navigate the canal system. The nearby Victoria Rail Trail is a significant draw for outdoor enthusiasts, offering miles of flat, scenic pathways for hiking, biking, and ATV use. Downtown Fenelon Falls features a variety of local boutiques, ice cream parlors, and waterfront dining options. For those interested in history and culture, the Maryboro Lodge Museum provides insight into the local heritage of the Kawartha Lakes region.

Who This Park Is Best For

Log Chateau Park is an ideal choice for family vacationers who prioritize on-site activities and a safe, communal environment for children. The variety of pools and playgrounds makes it a standout for multi-generational trips. Just spent the weekend here in the basic cabin. It was a lovely weekend we got to relax, have campfires, have a BBQ and of course do some riding! Great price for what you get, although we did wish there was some kind of light on the outside of the cabin to see at night, otherwise it was perfect! Definitely coming back!

Enjoyed our stay here for 5 nights in a Class A motorhome towing. Stayed on site 425 - private but awkward to park - it’s a pull in site from the wrong direction. Took a few 3 point turns to make it. Once we were settled it was an enjoyable stay. Victoria rail trail goes right through the park. French fry truck was convenient. Location of the park was convenient to all Kawartha lake towns. The biggest negative for us was the single lane road coming into the park. It only allows one vehicle at a time with no pull offs. We encountered another class A on our way out - we were towing our car so we can’t back up. The other coach wasn’t towing so had to pull in a lane way for us to pass … definitely not a great situation.

Just the best trailer park around, run by the sweetest family. They're always putting fun stuff together for family's to enjoy. The park is so well kept/maintained. The beach and pool are great. So happy to be a seasonal camper here

We had a wonderful one week experience at Log Chateau Park and are planning our visit next year already! Pictured is 400G and 400H sites. Quite central to everything - the barn/store, pool, jumping pillow, laundry, bathrooms/showers. In our experience, it was quiet throughout the week but loud and full during the weekend (Fri and Sat night). A bit of a distance to walk to the “beach” but worth the little drive. Lots of sand for the kids to play in and a very refreshing sandy river to swim in. My littles wore their live vests as the river gets deep - fast! Beach fills up fast on hot days. Bathrooms were clean, showers were clean, overall a really great - family friendly park. My only teeny tiny suggestion would be better ventilation/airflow in the bathrooms - the only airflow I noticed is when the door is propped open - so on a hot day you are sweating while just going into a toilet stall for a minute - or you are sweating while drying off after a shower.

My family and I have been attending Log Chateau for many years. So long they have pretty well become family. Steph and Luke have always treated us all with so much kindness and respect, but its not only that, that keeps us coming! The location is almost as amazing as they are. Situated on the beautiful Burnt River, it allows us to have fun endless fun with the kids! They are extremely kid orientated, which helps us parents scare off that dreaded "I'm bored" by offering a pool, multiple sports court, playgrounds, horseshoes, and the best ice cream around! If you're looking for a new place to spend your summer seasons, you will not be disappointed.
