Very nice people, came here for a month job and never had a bad experience everyone is so sweet, my favorite part is the baby ducks that you can feed. My family is into pool and there pool table was open 24 hours. This is really the best place to set up and stay a while.

The natural setting is as close to country as a person can get and still be close to Houston/Humble. Staff is full of hospitality. The atmosphere is far from a sterile site. It has an old world charm. We picked up our grandchildren to stay with us and they didn't want to go home. We all loved the activity center with diverse games that did not involve an electronic tablet or cellphone.

Paid my deposit over the phone to hold my spot because the pics online are beautiful! But when I showed up to pay and drove through the park, I was shocked. The tv’s are so close together, the pond isn’t very accessible because the woods around it are over grown, the whole park looks ghetto. I’d never feel safe with my rv or my kids there. I turned around and left! The pics are not what you get!

We stayed here June 7-10, 2024 to watch our granddaughter play softball in Splendora. This was honestly one of the friendliest campgrounds we have ever stayed in. We requested a shady spot and we got one! Even got the web worms to go with it…lol (just our luck this time of year). The pool was clean but the best part was Saturday we had a 3 hour break between games and 4 of the girls came with their fathers and played games in the air-conditioned rec hall! Nice little stream and lake onsite made for a nice ambience. There are lots of full timers but it is well maintained and very quiet. Highly recommend

We've lived in our 5th wheel in Lone Star Lakes RV Park for almost 3 years now. I can't imagine living anywhere else. The owners and employers are so nice and welcoming. The park is beautiful with it's tall trees and lake. The nature trail is so peaceful and we love walking it almost every day. The rates are reasonable and include all utilities. This park is tucked away off Hwy 59 and most people don't even know it's here. The laundry & shower facilities are clean and open 24hrs. Come join us!

Lone Star Lakes is run by folks who obviously take great pride in their facility. The restrooms/showers were always clean and in good order. They place trash cans in corals strategically near multiple sites and empty them daily. They even thought of lighting each sites utility pedestal for ease of use at night. The sites are paved and have a raised wooden deck with picnic table on them. There is a centrally located, air conditioned recreation room with tables and plenty of games for entertainment. We did not use the washer/dryer facilities but I have no doubt they are cared for as well as the rest of the campground. The pool was clean and fenced in for safety. Wifi was great with good speeds. Our Verizon service worked perfectly while there as well. As others have said there are seasonal and long term residents but we have no complaints at all. Everyone was quiet, friendly and polite during our stay. There are plenty of restaurants and stores withing just a few miles of the RV park. We tried Airi Poke & Ramen and Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream while we were there. They are only a few minutes from Big Rivers Waterpark. After seeing the campground that is across the street from Big Rivers I am glad we stayed here. So much shade vs none at all. The lake is beautiful and the ducks were fun and unafraid. We found them wandering near us quite often. We have stayed in a few RV parks now and this one is at the top of our list. Thanks for a great stay!

Response to Mr. Griffin: The only issue is sites are a tad too tight for big rigs. There's nothing you can do about that though. Otherwise it is a very nice park.

My kids and I stayed here with my parents in their camper when they came to visit from Kansas. It was a lovely week out there. It felt similar to a state park (not so much a parking lot style RV park thankfully) in the sense of all the trees nearby the sites and a nice nature path by the lake. They had a playground, pool, clean restrooms and a fully furnished game room! We had fun feeding the ducks at the lake too!

I looked all over Texas and I don't think I have ever gotten so much peace. Its one of the best views, great staff, nature walks, the best price I could find, etc. It really is great. I also wanted to point out that Phil, the dad of this family owned business, has hearing problems so if you talk to him, he's not being rude/ignoring you. I'm guessing why this place doesnt have all perfect reviews as it should.

I adore family owned and operated business. I think they take much better care of their things and provide better service to their customers. I loved the employees of this place, very kind and professional. The park itself was beautiful and had a very nice layout. I enjoyed the paved streets as it was easy to get around and rocks didn’t get everywhere. When they say their rates are competitive and reasonable is only because it’s true. I have researched all of the camps in this area and after staying here I have to agree with that saying as it is true. Everything about this park is almost perfect. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
