My sister and I went camping in August. It was a beautiful experience. We basically got the campground to ourselves since it was a rainy weekend, but still had a great time. The state park rangers were all incredibly kind, informative, and helpful. One of the rangers even helped a lone camper next to us bring her things to her car. Personally gave us great snorkeling spots and advice on bug preventative care. Overall made the trip for us so much better. Not only amazing people, but the showers and bathrooms were also very clean. I would 100% go again. I would recommend Thermacel (bug prevention), small fan for sleeping if you’re also thinking of going during the summer, and a wagon to transport your things to and from your camp. (Not necessary, but helpful!) If you have any questions definitely contact their number. I did a couple times before the trip and each ranger was kind and informative. Please go and support! Even the smallest contribution goes a long way to keeping these state parks lively, well kept, and beautiful.

Went for a hike over labor day weekend. Camp ground was full but the trails were really quiet. Starts with a nice boardwalk and takes you through a range of environments along the loop. Observation deck was closed, but the trails were great and well maintained. Some areas were flooded due to tidal surge. Beaches had lots of sea grass, but it made the bird watching great.

Really good place. Excellent conditions for camping by car: restroom, bathroom. There is parking for overnight stay in the car, bbq area with hammock area and places for kayaking with beautiful views.

Pretty to see, BUT see the pics about the WRACK. This park allows the wrack to decompose naturally on the beach. The smell is overwhelming!! I fully support this as a natural habitat, but visitors need to know about decomposing wrack before they visit.

The water is absolutely beautiful but there's so much seaweed mucky stuff it's hard to get to the water The trails are nice and there are bathrooms. Wasn't expensive, but was disappointing not being able to walk into the water. Need a kayak or boat

Great park, $4.50 for one person $6 for two. Nice parking areas, restrooms , covered areas to sit, and plenty of chairs spread around to use. And scenic views all the way around!!!

Gorgeous state park with great sand trails and wood bridges. Beware, some of the shoreline is squishy and will suck your foot in up to the ankle so be careful. Would definitely reccomend going!

Fun, flat hike during low tide when we were there. Could be challenging during high tide. Signs say be aware of crocodiles in the area, but we didn't see any. Lots of birds and crabs. Very peaceful area.

Very nice park, we did the Golden Orb loop trail and it was flooded and we trekked on anyways. Seen lots of wildlife from birds, lizards, crabs, raccoons, and Iguanas. The hurricane had washed tons of debris onto the beaches so it was kindof mucky but we enjoyed it nonetheless.
