If you are traveling with a pet, I recommend staying at Auburn Inn, in Auburn, Nebraska. It’s right along the Highway you can’t miss it. Pet fee is only $15. $150 if you don’t tell them you have a pet. The room has a small table, chairs, single cup coffee machine, microwave, small fridge and small tv. Shower stall in the bathroom. No smoking in room but you can outside. It was quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful. Consider stopping by for a night as you are passing through the area. I was able to order a supper and have it delivered to my room from the local Pizza Hut.

I recently traveled from Texas to visit a close friend and needed a comfortable place to stay for a few days. Based on a recommendation, I chose the Auburn Inn, and I’m very glad I did. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome. Jessica, at the front desk, was courteous and helpful while preparing my room, and Kristian, one of the housekeepers, kindly let me know to reach out if I needed extra towels, bedding, or coffee. Their professionalism and friendliness really stood out. As a first-time visitor to Auburn, I took some time to walk around and was impressed by how clean and well-maintained the property and surrounding area were…even the parking lot was spotless. The motel appears to have a rich history, possibly dating back to the 1950s or 60s, yet it’s remarkably well-kept and inviting. My room was comfortable and well-equipped. The bed was cozy, everything worked perfectly, and the addition of a Fire Stick TV made relaxing in the evenings easy and enjoyable. The only recommendation I have is to change the coffee that is provided in the rooms. It’s not horrible…but not very good either. Overall, the Auburn Inn is a great choice for travelers seeking affordable, clean, and welcoming accommodations in Auburn, Nebraska. The excellent upkeep and genuine hospitality make it a place I would gladly return to on future visits.

Amazing stay!! I have my cat traveling and the only places that took in animals off the highway were full or didn’t take pets. I called and Jessica right away jumped in and helped me. She was not only pleasant but helpful and caring. The rate is amazing and the rooms are impeccable.. they look updated and almost like an efficiency apartment. Will stay again definitely while traveling

Only issue I had was with the TV, I understand using the streaming services, but some of us Late Boomers/Gen Xers aren't used to using them. It would be nice to have instructions in the rooms so we don't need to bother the front office. Otherwise it was a great stay!!!

A diamond in the rough! We were looking for a place to stay to get away from the foreign-owned chain hotels that plague the interstate and the Auburn Inn was just the ticket. Our dog was more than welcome which was a huge plus. The rooms may be a little dated for which I gave four stars BUT they are CLEAN and WELL kept! Manufactured flooring and no smelly old carpet! AND the smart TV had an Amazon Fire stick for streaming and not locked out like the hotel chains do nowadays. The bathroom was modernized and the water pressure in the shower was GOOOOOD! The place is American family-owned and they were excellent hosts. If I ever have to drive this stretch of I-29 again 10/10 I would stay here again. Amazing value and piece of mind for the price. Also this family runs a laundromat next door so you can wash your things if needed.
