Longview North / Mount St Helens KOA

Welcome to the Mt. St. Helen's KOA!

Revel in dramatic Pacific Northwest scenery from this KOA, terraced into a hill-side with inspiring views of a Douglas fir forest and beautiful sunsets. You'll enjoy the campground's peaceful country setting and convenient location. Situated about an hour from Portland, Oregon, and Olympia, Washington, it's an easy 2-mile drive from I-5, yet far enough off the highway to offer a quiet respite. One of the nation's most dramatic natural events occurred close by in 1980, when Mount St. Helens erupted. At the campground, you're just a few miles from the Mount St. Helens Visitor Center at Silver Lake, where you can learn about the eruption and visit scenic viewpoints and trails in and around the blast zone. This KOA is an ideal base for exploring the area or a convenient overnight stop in your RV. Your hosts: Brian, Ingrid, Adam and Hunter Orndoff.

And for all you fishermen or ladies, we have some of the best fishing sites all around us and just minutes away. There are so many things to do, such as go to the ocean or find a festival - there always seems to be something going on! So, set up your camp, then come to the office where we can help you find the adventure you desire. Come back in the evening and relax, planning for your next day of fun. North, south, east, or west, there are always things to do and see - some just down the road and some just an hour away. Nature is all around and it's calling you!

Everything worked well. Bathrooms and showers were clean. The playground was fun for the kids. The service was friendly. It's not a place I would call nice overall. Functional.

Loved my first outing of the year! Camp grounds were clean and good bathrooms with hot water! They even had showers! Worth the stay!

I recommend this KOA campground. It has full hooks up. There are both long term and short term spots for rvs. It is a solid pass through campground. It is quite at night and you don’t really hear the freeway noise at all. There is a train sound passing by at night but only heard it once. The campground is really clean and nice kept. The office closes at 5pm but they have self-in after hours box and you just pay the fee in cash (no checks). You can check-in at anytime which was nice for us driving in and not knowing what time we would arrive.

Great location with absolutely amazing hosts. Seriously everyone we dealt with at this KOA couldn’t have been any nicer. I will be staying here anytime we are in the area. It’s central to so many great spots and the hosts even put on events for the holidays.
