RV Park

Overview

Overview

It is centered around a large reservoir, providing a tranquil escape for those who appreciate natural beauty. The park features a vast campground system that caters to a variety of setups, from tent campers to large motorhomes, making it a versatile choice for outdoor enthusiasts.

Location & Surroundings

Situated just outside the charming town of Arroyo Grande, California, the park is tucked away in a picturesque valley setting. The drive into the area takes you through oak-studded hills and lush landscapes, providing a sense of seclusion while remaining accessible. The Mediterranean climate of the Central Coast ensures pleasant weather for most of the year, making this a reliable spot for those looking to enjoy the great outdoors without straying too far from civilization.

Amenities & Park Features

The recreation area is well-equipped for longer stays, offering a variety of full hookup campsites to accommodate modern RV needs. While the terrain is varied, many sites offer excellent views of the lake or the surrounding hillsides. Visitors will find essential facilities including clean restrooms, hot showers, and a general store that stocks basic camping supplies. The park is designed to encourage outdoor living, with plenty of space for families to spread out and enjoy the fresh air.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Adventure awaits right at the shoreline, where guests can enjoy boating, fishing, and kayaking on the calm waters of Lopez Lake. Beyond the water, the park boasts miles of hiking and equestrian trails that wind through the beautiful coastal landscape. For those looking to explore the region, the nearby town of Arroyo Grande offers historic charm, while the famous dunes of Pismo Beach and local wineries are just a short drive away from the main entrance.

Lopez Lake is an ideal choice for nature lovers and families who prioritize recreation over luxury resort amenities. It is a fantastic destination for those who want to wake up surrounded by wildlife and enjoy activities like fishing or bird watching. Well worth the visit! Rich in history and still pretty untouched... Please visit with caution and respect for the land. Very special place

Came to this lake in June of 2025. When we got there we were advised that neither charcoal or firewood was permitted to be burned. The campsite was very small and did not have any space to set up comfortably. The lake was DIRTY!! There was so much algae and the water was so muddy. Definitely did not feel safe to get into the water. Definitely DO NOT recommend camping at this lake.

Just finished a trip to Lopez Lake …. Great place to take the family. The trout were a good size and a Special shout out to the staff at the marina store & Park Rangers You made our trip smooth 🙌. Campsites were a little small but clean. Looking forward to our next trip.

Beautiful drive, beautiful lake, and what a convenient store/ restaurant. When The lemon groves along the way are flowering the smell is amazing. Dogs are allowed on leash. Park rangers Emily staff are awesome and friendly. There are docks to fish off and picnic tables with BBQ grills in beautiful spots all around the lake. They are a bit of a walk from the lake's edge though. I believe it's due to Lake level fluctuation. Beautiful place year-round.
