Loranger Pines RV Park

Overview

Loranger Pines RV Park offers a peaceful retreat nestled among the towering trees of Northeast Michigan. This family-operated destination is known for its heavily wooded sites that provide a sense of privacy and natural beauty rarely found in modern commercial parks. It is a place where campers can truly disconnect from the digital world and reconnect with the outdoors. The tall canopy provides ample shade, creating a cool and comfortable atmosphere where the scent of fresh pine dominates the air.

Location & Surroundings

Situated just a short drive from the charming city of West Branch, the park enjoys a prime location near I-75, making it an incredibly convenient stop for travelers heading toward the Upper Peninsula. Despite its accessibility to the highway, the park feels worlds away from any traffic noise. It is surrounded by the lush landscapes of Ogemaw County, offering guests a true Up North experience while remaining only minutes away from modern grocery stores and local dining options.

Amenities & Park Features

The park is well-equipped to handle modern rigs with full hookup sites offering both 30 and 50-amp electrical service. Guests can enjoy a variety of on-site comforts, including a heated outdoor swimming pool that serves as a central hub for relaxation during the summer months. Other essential features include well-maintained restroom and shower facilities, a laundry room, and a playground for children. The park also provides fire rings and picnic tables at every site to encourage traditional evening campfires.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Beyond the pines, the West Branch area is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts and bargain hunters alike. Visitors are only minutes away from the Tanger Outlets West Branch for premium retail shopping. For those seeking adventure, the Rifle River Recreation Area provides exceptional opportunities for canoeing, tubing, and fishing. The region is also famous for its extensive network of ORV and snowmobile trails, catering to motorized sports fans who want to explore the rugged Michigan backcountry.

Who This Park Is Best For

This park is ideal for nature-loving families who prefer a traditional, rustic camping vibe over a concrete-heavy luxury resort. Its quiet hours and spacious layout make it a favorite for retirees looking for a peaceful seasonal stay, as well as long-distance road trippers needing a reliable and scenic stop along the I-75 corridor. If you appreciate tall trees, starry nights, and a relaxed pace of life, Loranger Pines will feel like a perfect fit for your travel style.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! This is our first year as Seasonal Campers at Loranger. My daughter and I love it! The camp site backs up to tall and gorgeous red pines. The set up is what I enjoy most. The sites are spacious. No one is located across from you in any section of the campground. They have simple rules that most camp grounds have. They don't allow guests to clutter their sites, which is nice change from some parks I've been to. You can have plants, tables, chairs, a grill, shed, gazebo, etc... However they keep all of it at a minimum. The owners and hosts also keep their areas (storage, office, carts) clean and no clutter. They keep the bathrooms very clean. I've had visitors comment that they are shocked at how clean the bathrooms are for a campground. They do not have amenities such as a campground store or playground. However shops, grocery stores, restaurants, parks, walking paths and cute down town are only 10 minutes away. Lori who is one of the owners and Jeff and Phyllis who are the camp hosts are so welcoming, kind and helpful!! They have hosted coffee and donuts for campers to meet. Recently they had a cook out under their beautiful pavilion for customer appreciation. Both seasonal and visiting customers were welcome. Great time and nice to meet more people. They are planning more activities in the future for kids, which we are excited about. At a reasonable price you can get fire wood delivered and propane tanks filled. I looked at 3 other campgrounds before choosing Loranger. Excited this is where we chose. Already many great memories made and looking forward to making more :)

Fantastic little campground! I came here for work and was late getting here. Owners stayed up waiting and drove me to my site. It's not far from the city, location is pretty easy to find, clean sites and bathrooms, beautiful scenery, owners are super nice, and the price for location 😍💯. I'll Definitely be coming back here!
