Though the "season" in this area is over, the campground has remained open. BUT... even though their office/store is supposed to be open with a sign promising to be back at a specific time, they were gone much of the day. In all honesty, I gave up making trips to the office to look for them... they may have eventually showed up but.... who knows? The grounds are fine and unlike many campgroundswe've staying in this past month, they had wonderful internet. The sites are great and in genera mostl everything (other than office hours) was just fine. It would be great if they had exterior signs for the bathrooms. The entrance way to the bathrooms is through the laundry room. It took me forever to figure that out.

I have read some of the reviews and disagree greatly...My husband and I spent June through September 14 here and we had a great time!!! Our Grand children were able to come visit us and swim in the pool that is totally geared towards kids...My 2..2year old granddaughters loved the shallow end because the could stand up all by themselves....All 6 of my littles enjoyed the bounce pad....My husband and I met bunches of great people and sure some have their opinions but we were treated with respect the entire time ...if we needed something all we did was ask!!! This is a great place for young and older folks!!! We will return to enjoy it again ....Thank you Natalie, Tawnee,Colleen,Bill,Ray for all that you do!!!! If I missed anyone I'm sorry!!! Definitely 5 stars!!!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I came this past weekend to visit some friends, and looking to inquire about 3 seasonal sites for my family as we want to find a campground to call home. As I talked to many different seasonal campers here, I quickly realized that this is the last place I want to waste my money, as it is around $3,500 per site. I have found out they must not do background checks on their new employees due to at least 2 of them having felonies. I mean they are dealing with credit card numbers & your personal information this is what kind of new management this campground has now. You can look up on Indiana website to see their past history. The manager will say she is available to talk to, but she has no schedule and is always coming and going along with bringing her daughter to work with her that's very unprofessional. She stays out of sight when she is there, so she doesn't have to deal with people complaining about stuff that needs to be addressed. When she does drive around the campground she has her office manager with her. People on here have stated that there are new owners this is NOT correct, it is the same owners and same management company just a new manager at this campground. Upper management and owners do not care, they just want your money. I have confirmed this it's not just word of mouth. STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE!!!!!! They only care about getting you into the campground for your money after that you mean nothing to them. They treat weekend campers better so they will continue to spend money. They seriously don't care about anyone other than themselves and their best friends that all work together. This is so sad ownership has allowed this to happen! This was an amazing campground last year- what happened?? I don't know who found these new office people, but the owners really screwed up as several seasonal campers (who stated they have been here for years) had made a comment this will be there last year at Lost Acres. This is really sad everyone that said the maintenance people are still the same hard-working people, and 1 of the office ladies from last year is all they recommended I talk to. I was told 1 lady in the office is always right and will argue with anyone if questioned about anything. And will get an angry look if she has to do anything more then come out of her boss's office. They have activities for campers that are just a thrown together at the last minute or the day before with no advance notice to the campers. The times we visited in the past has been posted a month in advance so people can plan. We knew ahead which weekends we wanted to visit because our friends could tell us. They do have a nice pool that is about the only thing this place has going for it, however the manager actually tried to enforce a no drinks in the pool area that even included WATER! That did not go over well with the campers so they then changed their tune to you may have only water. Who in their right mind would tell people they have to leave the pool area to get a drink of water?? I mean if you're in the pool it is probably hot outside, people need to stay hydrated, especially if you have small kids with you. They did make new year around camping sites up front but removed all the trees so you're in the full sun all day. They for some reason thought putting you water hookups in the ground was a good idea?? I mean I looked at these and you actually have to get on your knees and bend down into the ground to hook up your water hose. Who thought this was a good idea? Some seasonals said it was to save money by the owners. These sites are right on top of each other too. You can tell they were getting every site they could possibly squeeze in this area. Just wanted to leave an honest review so you know what you're getting yourself into before spending your hard-earned money here. After hearing all this there is no way, I would stay here or come back to visit my friends, we can meet somewhere else. Sorry for the long review, but if you're considering this place I would think twice if you were looking for a safe clean campground!!!!

My family and I have been here for 2 going on 3 months as fulltime campers, and we have loved it. The management is great. They stay on top of things going on in the campground. You can see them driving around checking things several times a day, which is amazing to have. They have an awesome area for the kids to play and schedule crafts and activities for the kids regularly. Also, the activities director is super sweet and amazing with kids!! I think the absolute only downside to the campground is the one lane entrance/exit, on those busy check-in days, it can get pretty backed up, maybe a good update to be made by the new owners. 😀

We are a family with children. We had a lot here for one summer. Yes, the campground is nice. But there's mostly older people here and the main activity is drinking and playing bags for money. This isn't what I'd consider to be a family friendly campground. The activities should be family friendly. Not to mention management at the time was bad. Her name was Shara and she was rude and nasty. If you read reviews you'll see that management changes frequently and never seems to be good.
