This place was INCREDIBLE! There is a little cave that is very epic to sleep in! Only worry is watch out for random dudes sleeping in a truck in the middle of nowhere for multiple days! Ran into that and it made sleeping at night a little scary!

Love camping here for free on the way to burning man

My favorite description was... It's the desert, lol. Yes, it is. What I loved was that I woke up to the salt flats and took some gorgeous sunrise photos. I'm always thankful for free places to sleep.

This dispersed campsite was a perfect place for us, there are no facilities, making it not crowded. It is quiet and has a beauty only found in the high desert that brings a certain peace to the soul. We brought our bikes and enjoyed a short ride on the dirt roads. The attached video is pretty shaky because the camera is mounted to my bike.

Dry camping in the dust. No toilets or campsites just gravel road pull off areas. Wind came up unexpectedly last night with some strong gusts. Beautiful view of the stars. Saw several others camping with horses and atvs. Lots of play area and rock climbing trails. Close to Windover (mini Reno) with multiple casino hotels, restaurants and gas stations.

A pretty cool area for hiking around and camping. Plentiful areas for boondocking, and if you park right you can get a very nice view of the sunrise. I definitely recommend taking advantage of the mountain right next to the spots and try your hand at doing some rock scrambling (safely of course). If that isn't your speed, walk out onto the salt flats!! We made it all the way to the top of the mountain and the view was spectacular!

Its a great place for camping. It wasn't the best for tent camping but would be nice with a pad. There's plenty of room for a large group and you're in the desert so nobody is around you. There are definitely coyotes but we never felt threatened by them at any point. Great spot to camp at, won't be the last time I visit.

It's dark, firewood collected, initiating fire, hoots/howls off to the distance heard..... What was that? Coyotes? Not owls. Certainly plural. Likely 3-6 organisms. Quadrupeds of some sort. With my luck fur skinned. Back to the car then.
