We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Upon arrival, Kathy, was welcoming, pleasant, and efficient. She showed great customer service skills, and she handled a situation that could have escalated. I was in the bathroom washing my hands when I heard her nicely tell another guest that it was policy to have the dog on a leash. I was surprised and a bit scared when I came out and saw the dog right in front of me. Kathy asked if I was alright, then went to the campers nearby site to ensure the dog was put on a leash. The man was confrontational, and she remained calm and professional, and it prevented a worse situation...It has a beautiful lake, as well as great hiking trails, and access to nice off shore fishing spots. We stayed in one of the four cabins. It was adorable, clean, and we loved each morning looking at the lake, and the pretty forested surroundings. The cabin was so clean, and had a nice welcome basket. The porta potty was clean, as well as the heated shower rooms that we used. We would definitely stay here again, and would recommend that others stay and enjoy it.

Absolutely beautiful. We had a wonderful stay, camping on the lakefront. The view is amazing. Campers are friendly and it's so peaceful at night. I've camped all over Tennessee and rate this one at the top. We'll be back.

Nice campground with many waterfront sites, clean and well maintained bathhousea, bot ramp, and swimming area. It was very peaceful on a weekday in September. Likely not so during the summer months.

Loyston has become our local go-to, reminds me of the beach where I grew up, this is awesome, let's go back kinda campground!!! We moved to Knoxville a year ago, and our next-door neighbors suggested we go to Loyston a few months ago. Growing up on the coast of Florida, lakes are a little scary to me, but we figured why not? We both booked sites -- and Cathy in the office was GREAT, telling us what we needed to know, what to do if we got there early and wanted to hike, etc. We planned to get there early, so we parked the rig in the overflow parking and did the Loyston Point Loop hike until time to check in. Once we got to our site, it was really gorgeous. We had a waterfront site for one night -- but be forewarned, those sites are not level and you need plenty of leveling blocks, boards, whatever to get level. it's TOTALLY worth it, but don't come unprepared. (The hosts told us they were working on getting them level, but just plan for them not to be and it will be okay). Norris Lake was beautiful. Crystal clear water, bottom that wasn't mucky or gross. We bought floaties in the store (closes at 4, so be prepared for that, but if you're a late check-in your paperwork will be in the mailbox out front). Our friends had a kayak and they went to the island. Lots of folks had pontoon boats, etc., and you can park them in the parking area at the campground or anchor them up at the waterfront sites. We had so much fun, we actually moved to another waterfront for another night. Beautiful sunrise, watched the people and boats and just relaxed and enjoyed the day. We went back during our recent 3-week camping excursion and stayed two nights. It was just as much fun and we've booked four nights in September. There aren't sewer hookups, but if you do get a long enough stay or aren't frugal with your tanks, they have a honey wagon for like $25. This last time we went to Clinch River Brewery, and that was fun. There's lots of hiking close by and when we go in September, we'll explore more of that -- but we bought a kayak, so we'll be using that on the lake too! I'd love to rent a pontoon boat if I can convince my other half!!

Very relaxing campground. Easy check in and out. Dump station was clean and kept up with. Clean out hose supplied by campground. If you need ice when noone is at the store you can grab it and text the number on the icebox and let them know how many and what site your in....then pay the next day. Definitely check out Clinch River Brewery near by. Good beer and food! Norris Dam is 2 minutes up the road from there.

First off the ladies in the front office were extremely accommodating and friendly! We stayed in a cabin and it was small but comfortable (do wish they had a sink). Bathhouses were very clean and well kept. Great place to escape for a couple of days.

We spent a week at Loyston Point in a cabin. We had a great time, the cabin was perfect for us. It was so clean, and more spacious than we expected. The little fridge and shelves worked just great for our food items. The staff is super friendly and caring. They are so helpful, and willing to give a hand with anything. If we had one thing we would improve on, it would be bathroom facilities a little closer to the cabins. Speaking about the bathrooms, they were remarkably clean as well! We would definitely come back for another visit.

This was my first time camping at this park. Super nice staff that really go the second mile to help out. I forgot to grab a bowl to prepare our meal in and the super nice lady at the general store was happy to lend us her own bowl. I am beyond grateful and super satisfied with our stay. Site 50 had a beautiful scenery right on bank of Norris Lake. Overall it was a pleasantly quiet park away from the city bustle. We will be back!

Incredible camp managers. Beautiful location! Beware that some of the pull through spots along the water are a little tricky to get into with larger vehicles. Nice large spread out lots.

Just had our first stay here! The staff was excellent☆. She even brought a container of worms to our site and wouldn't take the money for them because they did not have them 2 times when we stopped by to purchase them. Sites are very spacious. Bathrooms were immaculate. Beautiful lake views from most spots. Will definitely stay again.
