The Lubbock KOA is tucked away on the northwest side of town. The entrance might fool you because it has gigantic bushy cedars on either side of the entrance that camouflage the driveway. The entrance after that is wide open and plenty long. The office is open until 8:00 which is great for late travelers. The gravel spaces are mostly pull through and are long enough to not have to unhook our 34’ fifth wheel and 19’ truck. There is an indoor pool and a small store inside the office. There are laundry facilities and a restroom with showers - 3 pottys and 3 showers. My only complaint, besides the train which is not their fault, is the very low to the ground toilets. This may seem nitpicky, but when you’re older and your knees don’t work it’s really hard to get up off those toilets. No grab bars at all. Lubbock KOA - please add grab bars to at least one stall? My knees appreciate it in advance.

I stayed at one their cabins and found it to be comfortable even though it appears somewhat aged. The cabin did provide a comfortable place to stay and the bathrooms were clean and well maintained. If you are trying to save money on accommodations during Texas Tech home football games, are willing to deal with cabins that provide very basic amenities, and don't mine using the community showers, I would recommend staying at this KOA.

I had an amazing experience staying at the KOA in Lubbock, Texas. I especially want to thank the ladies at the front desk — they were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always willing to help with a smile. Their generosity and positive attitude made my stay even more enjoyable. The campground was clean, peaceful, and well-maintained, with all the amenities I needed. But it was truly the warm hospitality of the staff that stood out the most. Thank you for making me feel at home — I will definitely be back!

Easy late check in for the night in one of the cabins. The room was super spacious, seemed pretty clean and the AC was especially appreciated after a long day of traveling. Check out in the morning was great meeting the friendly camp hosts and their dog was really cute!

Tent campsites are pretty much next to highway and railway track. Staff was very friendly and cooperative. All four campsites were empty so she let me choose a site and actually recommended one. But I figured the campsites had ants and bugs infestation so they refunded my money. If infestation were not a problem, I would still not camp here due to highway noise. Probably I will not return to this location. Again, the staff was wonderful and caring.
