Fairly nice campground surrounding a small lake with an awesome sand bar that allows you to walk across. Overpriced. $45 for water and electric, no bathrooms only Porta-potty's. Would've been happy to pay $25. (Lowest in the area? Then it's an overpriced area. I've been camping all across the Appalachians twice this year alone and never paid that much at ANY campground we went to, the most I paid was $35 and that's with nice bathrooms and showers, also surrounding a lake with hiking trails. It's overpriced)

Nice campground on the lake but our site had only electric hookups. No water! There were other sites with water and they were full already. Had we been told when we made the reservation, we may have gone elsewhere or made sure our reserve tank was full. A bit pricey for only electric hookups.

The only reason I am giving this campground a 2/5 is because it is beautiful and the water is so clear. We got to pick our (rustic) site upon arrival. We experienced nothing but good. Now, onto the negative experience. We were kayaking when all of the sudden the owner (Don) sped his pontoon boat up to the dock where a larger family was playing. Instead of asking them nicely to move a floating doc back he yelled and swore at the family in front of MANY kids. He revved his engine at them while kids were in the water next to his boat. He drove his boat around continuing to yell and swear at them. He then grabbed a metal pole and pointed it at a mother and her small child. The family was trying to cooperate but he was being extremely inappropriate. Not as bad but when I called ahead he was pretty rude as well. If you are looking for a pretty campground to kayak and swim at I highly recommend. However, be aware of this owner because (reading the reviews) he is extremely unprofessional.

Thanks for a fantastic weekend of camping. What a beautiful property to walk around! showers and access to firewood and ice on the property is a major plus. It's also really nice that almost all of the sites around to the lake have power hookups so that I don't have to use my generator anymore here.

A lovely property with an obnoxious owner. I'm astonished anyone puts up with the total lack of customer service. I called to ask about availability and rates, the owner just says "Yea yea, you're confirmed." And hangs up on me without ever getting my name. I called back assuming he was just overwhelmed and tired, and asked if he had a moment to answer a few questions. I get a sassy "Only serious ones." and a laundry list of his chores for the day. Sorry running your business is so stressful you can't manage to be polite to people who are trying to give you money. Might be time to retire or hire someone with a bit of tact to answer the phone, Don!
