My camper's wheel bearing failed just as I rolled into the KOA on Friday night on late September. The staff were so helpful and lent me tools to remove the broken Torflex axle. They also let me store the camper for a couple of weeks until I could drive up with a new axle to take the camper home. We love this KOA and we have been coming here every fall for salmon fishing on the Pere Marquette River. Thank you !

First time here, we stayed for four nights, we had a very enjoyable time. Staff were very friendly, helpful, and welcoming, from Michelle to Dennis and the young adults running the activities. Communication was very good as well, would text to let us know when activitie would start as well as when they had to be cancelled. We stayed at a swing site, we loved it especially at night. Pool was very clean. Bathrooms were clean and showers were spacious and clean as well. Is definitely a campground to come back to.

Camping 20 plus years with my family I feel like I have experienced most everything you can at a campground. But was disappointed to say that the KOA in East Ludington was an experience I’d like to forget. The facilities were fine, campsites nice but the service was rude and intrusive. The person who checked us in, Michelle, made us feel unwelcome from the moment we checked in until we left. She made it her mission to “keep an eye” on our campsite and was intimidating to our son, daughter and her friend who were camping with us. She questioned them about how many people were staying in our camper and how old they were. It was uncomfortable and she let them know she was watching. Sorry that is unacceptable and if we had to many staying in our camper let me know don’t stalk us and question our kids like they did something wrong. It was poorly handled and this campground seemed to charge us for every activity or program they offered. Most places go out of their way to welcome you when you are camping - this place goes out of their way to get in your wallet. Won’t be back.

Great campground! Plenty of space to walk around and explore. Our site was clean, spacious, and exactly as described — backed up to the National Forest, which was just what we wanted. We met Joel, the owner, when we arrived and he personally showed us to our site. He was so nice and checked on us again before we left, which really made us feel welcome and cared for. We had originally planned to spend three nights at Interlochen State Park but left early because it was too crowded. We’re so glad we found this KOA instead — it was quiet, peaceful, and perfect for our family. The staff kept an eye on things and were always around if we needed anything. Our kids absolutely LOVED this campground — they could run around freely and had so much to do. The bounce pad was a huge hit! If you need site WiFi, it works best closer to the General Store — it didn’t reach our site in the back. It was a nice peaceful walk up to the pavilion where the WiFi was strong and it worked great, if you need it. We highly recommend this campground and will definitely be back. Great staff, clean facilities, tons for kids to do, and plenty of room to relax and enjoy nature!

Camped over the fourth of July Weekend '25. My kids had a blast, lots of fun activities, including the silent disco party, so much fun. Very clean camp, very courteous, friendly staff went out of their way to assist with any questions we had. Our family was looking forward to visiting a quieter campground and this was perfect!
