Lufkin KOA Journey
Welcome to the Lufkin KOA!
You're deep in the heart of Texas at Lufkin KOA: The nearest neighbors are Texas Longhorn cattle grazing nearby. The campground is practically surrounded by a well-tended ranch, so you're sure to enjoy a relaxing retreat. Admire the wide-open Lone Star landscape, rich with birds and other wildlife. Take a dip in the pool, check out the fishing pond or learn to toss horseshoes like a real cowpoke. This location offers easy-on/easy-off access from major highways that pass through Lufkin. Spend a day at Sam Rayburn Reservoir, one of the best fishing lakes in the state. Nacogdoches, known as the oldest town in Texas, is about 20 minutes away. In Lufkin, stop by the Texas Forestry Museum. Pool: April 1 - October 1. Max pull thru: 73 feet.

The KOA Lufkin is exactly what a KOA always is, conveniently located, clean and affordable. The pool was small but clean, as were the restrooms. This one seems to have more full time residents than others but that isn’t a really big deal. All in all a god experience.

A last minute stay after a full day in for repairs in a neighboring town. The pool looked so inviting as I drove in. Arrived about 4 p.m. no one on duty. Easy to get to. Called and left message requesting WiFi, pool or bathroom code but never got a call back. The receipt had no information of the codes. Luckily, someone did not shut the door completely, so I was able to shower. The space was nice cement pad, pull through. Park was well manicured. No shade, as are many places in Texas. Good sleep, quiet night.

Our stay here was excellent! The pull-thru site was clean and level. This campground is very quiet and peaceful yet is conveniently located near the interstate and town. The pool and recreation area were also clean and well-maintained. The shower rooms were updated and nice. Overall, we were pleased and would definitely stay again.

I'm loving being at the koa! Cody the manager is amazing and the owners are so terrific! The park is very clean and peace. The pool is beautiful. Not just a regular square boring pool. The event room has a full kitchen and cable! Laundry is very cheap to do. I am in love with this place!
