Unmatched! I haven’t been camping in a while, but this camp ground is better than any I’ve been to. The bathrooms and showers were spotless, regardless of what time of day we used them. The grounds were clean and organized. All areas were labeled and easy to access. I loved the drive up to site parking. Easy to load and unload. SUPER INEXPENSIVE! Lots of fun things to do! We’ll be back this week!!!

We spent a long weekend with family at Lums Pond State Park Campground and so glad we did. We paid $46 per night plus fees for a FHU 50 Amp Back-in site (#56). This place is a gem, even among nice state parks. THINGS I LIKED: - Easy access from I-95 - Beautiful park setting with fantastic site — spacious, level, good-working hookups, and paved - Friendly and helpful staff - Great state park with lots to do (kayaking, biking, and more) THINGS I DIDN’T LIKE SO MUCH: - There’s nothing we didn’t like about this place WOULD WE COME BACK? - Absolutely, this is a nice place with plenty to do

This is by far the nicest campsite in a state park we have every stayed at, and among the nicest campsites we have ever stayed at, period. The campground is beautiful, with plenty of green space, walking trails, a camp store, spotless bathrooms and showers, a playground, a laundry, and of course, Lums Pond. It is worth going out of your way to stay at. We actually stayed here twice this summer, once on our way north, and then on our way back south, so I have included both sites. Site 69. Back-in, asphalt, FHU, 50/30/20. Yes, 50 amp, water, and sewer, in a state park! 4” sewer with metal step cover. Pedestal tall enough for Watchdog to clear ground. Good water pressure. Picnic table, fire ring. Lovely campsite with mature trees. Generous spacing between sites. So generous that when I tried to take a photo showing the sites on either side, even after walking across the road and using the wide angle lens on the phone, I couldn't get them both in the photo. The site does slope toward the front and toward the right slightly, so I did put a couple of rubber blocks under each front tire, but then was able to auto-level. I might have been able to just auto-level without the blocks, but it was easy enough to use them just to avoid the hassle. Site 23, back-in, FHU, 50/30/20. Yes, 50 amp, water, and sewer, in a state park! 4” sewer with metal step cover. Pedestal tall enough for Watchdog to clear ground. Good water pressure. Picnic table, fire ring. Lovely campsite with mature trees. Generous spacing between sites. The site does slope toward the back and toward the right, so I did need to put a board under each rear tire, but then was able to auto-level. The pond is just a short walk along a path through the woods behind the campsite. The laundry has three washing machines and four clothes dryers. Washers are 1.75 per load, the dryers are $1.50 per load. Verizon 2 bars LTE, 27.1 Mbps down, 0.72 Mbps up AT&T: 17.68 Mbps down, 2.14 Mbps up Lots of OTA TV, all nice and clear. CBS and NBC, but no ABC or PBS. This is definitely a park / campground that we would return to, even if it meant going out of our way.

Peaceful place to camp. We arrived late at night and left by 8 am on an east coast road trip. Establishment was clean and easy to hook up the RV.

Lum’s Pond is a lovely, peaceful campground and we really enjoyed our brief stay. The site was level and hookups worked as they should. We had several interactions with staff and campground hosts and all were very favorable. Really nice people who take pride in their work. The little store is nicely stocked and very convenient. We were unable to have a campfire due to a prolonged drought and state fire ban, which made total sense with all the dried leaves. We would definitely return to this campground in the beautiful state of Delaware.

It is a beautiful campground with well spaced camping and RV sites. It has many activities that accommodate the entire family. I highly recommend the Go Ape Zipline course. It was so much fun and a great course to do for those who love a little adventure.

Wow extremely impressed. Campground has tons of space!! Each site is unique and very big. Bathrooms are probably the nicest I've seen camping. Gorgeous main bathrooms with 4 to 5 separate family style bathrooms with showers. Store was stocked full of goodies. Scenic bike trails are fun and challenging. Had a blast and can't wait to go back.

Lum Pond is a great state park campground. Huge spots with gravel pads, nice fire rings and picnic tables.  Easy to navigate paved roads. Quiet with nice hiking trails.  Lots of tall shade trees, clean and well maintained buildings and friendly staff. OK Verizon service, good Starlink service.

We’ve been coming here for over 5 years…usually once or twice per year and love it! Sites are a good size and there are fun trails and the pond is beautiful.

It was my first experience in a Delaware State Park. We went midweek in October, tent camping but we got a full hookup site so we'd have electric, could park on the site and be close to the bathroom. We had a good time, I really enjoyed the campfire, and we took a walk on the C&D canal trail that was a short drive away. There were remnants of RV toilet paper on the pavement at the site and I saw a guy have a little spillage when he unhooked his RV, I guess that's a thing? So watch where you are walking if you tent camp on an RV site. A previous reviewer said they had problems with stink bugs, we did not, but there had been a previous cold night. Staff was nice, the restrooms were extremely clean. We were surrounded by RVs but it's an older crowd everyone was extremely considerate, no one was playing music or anything like that. It was a big improvement over previous camping experiences. Overnight there was a lot of airport noise, camper's dogs barking (I'm sure some wildlife set them off) and loud cars speeding outside of the park. I could have done without them emptying the recycling dumpster at what seems at what seems like 3:30 am. I probably would have slept through most of these things if I had been warmer, but that's my fault. I think I would choose a site that did not back to the woods because there was lots of rustling in the underbrush overnight. I got valuable insight by calling staff ahead and they were very willing to answer all my questions. Tent sites are only a slight walk from assigned parking spots. I estimate it is a 5 minute or less walk from the tent sites to the bathroom. I was told that prices were raised and turned into more of an RV park because they had problems with drinking and parties in the past. It looks like they had two yurt sites but only one yurt it was up. Maybe they take it down for the winter? It was a $4 reservation fee online which was okay with me.

This is an awesome campground! The sites are HUGE and FHU. The roads and sites are paved. Our site had a lot of sand, so we needed to put mats down and there was a major stinkbug infestation (in the park and surrounding area), but I still consider this to be a 5 star experience! $29 a night and close to a very nice bike trail that took us into the lovely historic Delaware City.

The State of Delaware should be proud of this facility. The camp site is very open with partial shaded spots around the perimeter. Also the sites are well spaced out. Everything is spotlessly clean and you constantly see staff cleaning showers and restrooms as well as cutting grass. I didn't see one piece of litter in our two days here. All sites are full hook up. The State and staff here deserve 5 stars.
