- Not a fond of the new ownership.. Camp Luwisomo has been my childhood campground and was my church campground as well.. Everything is just so strict now, which kinda limits all the fun, honestly.. Some nights you just want to enjoy the bonfire and fun activities at night, but their quiet hours are just limiting that factor, which is depressing, and the host WILL come and tell you to be quiet during the quiet hours.. Use to be 2 tents per campsite, now downgrading to ONLY 1 tent per campsite is just money draining.. A lot of the activities just isn't the same anymore and I been attending every other year since 2005.. How sadly this campground has become, the quiet hours & limitations of how many people you can fit into a campsite, with just 1 tent per site.. If you're attending with a large group, I wouldn't recommend this campground at all, you would literally have to rent half of the campsites there, also no activities for groups at all so it's just not worth it to me. If you're attending with just a family of 6, then I would say go for it. But other then that, I didn't really enjoy my stay recently which was in June 2021 because of all the NEW regulations from the new ownership. By all means, don't let this review discourage ya, it's just my opinion stated from my recent experience.. Sadly, this might be my last stay at Camp Luwsomo..

Love all that camp has to offer; year-round outdoor fun! Many reviews here about summertime activities but my favorite trips were winter retreats :) snowshoeing, cross country skiing, broom ball, winter campfires. A great way to get away and enjoy the outdoors during the long winter!

Always a great place to go. The staff are super friendly and has always felt like home. The camp ground is really big and nice. Feels like you're camping in the woods. Nice trails and beach was great too.

Very nice camping accomodations. Plenty of privacy with convenient comforts close by. We appreciate the value priced split wood, makes it easier to not haul wood from home when you can count on a large supply of good wood for a very low price right available at the campground.
