If you're looking for a big resort type campground, this one probably isn't for you, but it's exactly why we enjoyed it. It's only about 40 sites, so we enjoyed the fact that there weren't golf carts running around at all hours kicking up dust and making noise like many of the bigger campgrounds these days. It is mainly wooded, since we were there in the fall, the leaves were changing color, which made for a beautiful scene. The site was gravel, it was hard to level, needed extra blocks in the front and on one side. Bathrooms in our area were pretty small, but clean. We enjoyed our stay and would return if visiting the area again. Only issue we had was, not soon after arrival (approx 3pm), after getting set up, just wanted to relax and take in the quiet atmosphere, well, that's when a member of the staff fired up the leaf blower, for the next hour or so, all you could hear was that annoying sound and blowing dust. To make matters worse, it started up again the next morning at 9am for another hour or so. Stayed on site B20

Very nice KOA. In the woods. Nice campsites and not as close together as you see in many KOA parks. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Even delivered firewood and just charged it to the card. Laundry was $2 wash, $2 dry. Close to Blue Ridge Parkway entrance.

We stayed for about 10 days at this KOA. The owners and the staff were so kind and friendly. Everything was kept very clean and landscaped. The bathrooms were the absolute best campground bathrooms that we have ever encountered. SO much so that we opted to use their shower facilities instead of our own. The whole experience was enjoyable and we will definitely be staying again when we are in the area.

I usually don’t stay in private campgrounds because of the too close of proximity to other campers. These sites are well spaced out. A nice trail through the woods and around the fishing pond. All folks seemed friendly, the entire property is extremely well maintained and clean. Very quiet at night. You even have a maintenance man wearing a KILT. Good location for the trail and less than an hour from Appomattox. I’d stay again if in the area

Beautiful, quiet campground. All facilities are kept extremely clean and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is super low key. A true Introvert's Paradise. We've been twice in the last year and both visits have been so relaxing. Our new favorite quick getaway spot.
