This is by far one of the nicest provincial parks for families. The park is always clean, the staff are always friendly and helpful, the beach is amazing and there is a playground right beside the beach for the kids to enjoy. This park has really nice trails to hike or bike and aren't aggressively challenging, so good for little ones as well. It can at times get a little windy due to the park being right on Lake Huron, but for the most part the sites are tucked away in the forest and offer fairly decent privacy from others. The sites are decent size, some larger and easier to access than a few interestingly angled sites, but good none the less. The bathrooms were spotless, and the showers were clean and had great water pressure which is always nice. My family and I have been to this park multiple times over the years and I still am so surprised on how nice this park is, how easy it is to get to (we're 2 hrs away) and how beautiful the scenery is. I highly recommend this park to anyone with kids who like to explore, ride bikes and go to the beach. If I could rate it higher than 5 stars I would. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍🏻🫶🏻

I recently stayed at MacGregor camping ground, and the location is absolutely stunning, surrounded by many trails and offering beautiful views. The campsites are spacious, clean, and well-maintained, and the best part is, there is enough privacy between sites for a relaxing experience. The restrooms were clean and they had hot showers, and a well-organized camp store that had everything we needed. We enjoyed hiking and stargazing at night (we were lucky to get clear sky, so were able to gaze at the beautiful galaxy on a quiet beach). The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful too. You gotta follow the camping rules to have a pleasant experience! Definitely on my list of best camping grounds. Its a perfect getaway for anyone looking to unwind in nature while still having access to great amenities.

Beautiful spot. Love the biking trails, the sunset point was beautiful and the campsite privacy was lovely! The site we had was very gravol (which made pegging down the tent harder) but next time will pick a different site. There was hardly any mosquitos which was surprising! There are so many spots along the trail to wander out and explore the waters edge ! Playground is great through we only used it for 15 minutes one day. The beach wasn't great (slimy and squishy- which is to be expected in a lake) but the water was warm and shallow for young kids so that's a plus! Lots of wildlife -many frogs, turtles and water snakes! The visitors centre was awesome , and the road and frog class we took was run well informative and fun for the kids. The store had lots of stuff and the ice cream was delicious. All and all a wonderful stay, we will be back!

We had a very nice experience in the park. The camping sites are well distributed. There are potable water taps along the roads and comfort stations with proper washrooms (I avoid vault toilets at all cost). There are nice trails and beaches. There is also a park store that offers a variety of products for the campers, including ice cream for the kids. Good place for a quiet get away.

An awesome, spacious, well maintained provincial park with beautiful campsites and regularly cleaned comfort stations. The ice cream at the park store is a must try! It's honestly one of the best ice creams I have ever had. Try the "Espresso Flake" and "Peanut Butter Chocolate" flavours, you'd go back for more the next day! The visitors centre is also beautiful, with live turtle and snake tanks, as well as interactive activities. The "therapy trail" is so calming! We'd definitely come back!
