Excellent place to stay on our way through Kindersley

I return here annually. It's incredibly well cared for and loved. Great beach and playgrounds - small and easy to use as a family. Shower facilities could be updated but great to use. The golf course looks nice. Lake is avoidable lol

Resented to be told I had to pay an additional $5 for a Regional Park fee after I had chosen a campsite, booked it, paid for it, and received a receipt. There was no mention of it on their website or when I called the office earlier to find out the camping costs. Why can people and businesses not be upright when it comes to trying to get more money. It is not the money but the unexpected surprises that get me!!!!

Appeals to all. Has campground, golfing, playground, restaurant, small beach. Very clean. Staff is helpful and friendly. Would recommend.

Seems to be poorly ran. One person monitoring the office, bar, golf course etc. No firepit was at our site even though it said there was. Sites are wide open so no privacy at all. Scenery is nice though

The two staff that I dealt with when checking in were very friendly and helpful, which was a good intro to the regional park. While staying at the park we noticed that many of the site signs were damaged or missing altogether, site division was unclear, and water and power pedestals were in need of some TLC. Our camping neighbours had some similar comments as we did re: site maintenance. The power at our site worked, as did the water, and we had a sewer hook-up, which provided us no issues. The playground was great, and the sand at the beach was nice. The swimming area, however was less desirable. When compared to other regional parks we frequent, this one doesn't make the cut, we will probably not be back.

Currently camping at Macklin Lake Regional Park on a colder May Long Weekend but have had a very warm welcome from management. Campsites and shower/bathroom facilities are kept clean and have great privacy (sites 2 - 13 specifically). Ownership is very friendly and their pricing is reasonable. Wood bundles can be delivered directly to your campsite and it is very dry and ready to burn. Golf course is in great shape this year and they have friendly staff at the clubhouse.

Staff were friendly and accommodating. Washroom was clean and well kept. It was too early in the spring to use the beach and swimming basin, but it looked nice. The lake was picturesque and serene in the morning. One improvement we'd like to see in our tenting site would be a cooking grate on the fire ring.
