It's a beautiful place, but we're here the last week of the season before they close for winter and were charged $70 for one night. I'm so tired of living in a world that takes advantage of me every chance it gets. The lake is nearly drained. We are LITERALLY the only people here and yet you charge us $70/night because you know there's nowhere close for us to go. The showers/restrooms are closed. The water to the sink is shut off. You're still charging full price and giving us NONE of the amenities that come with that price. And to have a young girl be the face that has to tell people that... You should be ashamed of yourself for charging that much for a 15'×15' tent site, even during peak season. We wanted to bring the whole family out here next summer but this will be our last visit. You are greedy, disgusting people.

Madison Arm Resort is located on Hebgen Lake. The resort is clean and in a beautiful shady location. The owner is honest and will do her best so you have a pleasurable experience However getting there is an adventure and you may tear your vehicle or RV to shreds. The dirt/gravel road is probably THE WORST road in the state of Montana. The forest service is supposedly responsible for grading the road. Whatever priority they put on that is another story. I guess they're waiting for enough complaints before they act. If this same road was located in Big Sky you can bet the road would be nice and groomed ! Update 9/1/2035 Just before the Labor Day weekend, either the Resort or the Forestry Service (unlikely) groomed the road to the resort. It is much safer to drive your RV to the Resort now. It would have been nice if this was done in early July instead of the end of the season !

We stayed at Madison Arm Resort for 3 days while visiting Yellowstone. The camping site is a hidden gem in the middle of the forest by a beautiful lake. We woke up each day looking at the lake. It was quiet and perfect place for us. The showers and bathrooms were clean and well maintained. The staff were very nice. This place is close to the West entrance to Yellowstone Park. I recommend it for those who want to avoid crowded noisy campgrounds and be close to nature.

This place is amazing. So peaceful. The front desk was so nice on check in and whenever we needed something. Bathrooms were clean and the showers were awesome. We were right by the lake. So beautiful. The road can be a little rough but just call and see which way to take and go about 25-30 mph on it and it’s not to bad. It definitely worth it.

The lake was nice; the showers and restroom was clean. Unfortunately one of the washing machines wasn’t working and there really isn’t any space to fold laundry…There was a table, but it was full of supplies and we didn’t want to put clean laundry on it. The road to get into the campsite is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!! The rivets in the road are so bad it shakes the car and trailer all over the road. Took about 30 minutes to drive 4 miles. When we finally did arrive the guy was very nonchalant and just said, “yeah, it’s better off if you go faster”. On one of the trips back in to the campsite, the truck’s side mirror was broken. Initially the guy wanted to put us in a “pull through” site, that was actually a back in, and we would’ve been on the middle of the road… When we get home I know we’ll absolutely need a wheel alignment and we’re hoping for no further damage! While the lake is nice and the campground too, we would definitely NOT recommend to anyone and we’ll definitely NOT be back. Montana’s full of beautiful lakes and campsites…if the service road were grated, it would’ve made all the difference. I would think they would invest in the machinery to make this place more accessible without causing damage to your vehicles!!! Very disappointed!!
