We spent one night here at this quiet and peaceful campground. Most of the camper sites appear to be long-term well-rooted campers who have built decks and sheds on their wooded full service sites. The sites avail able for transients are less appealing but have full hookup. The owner is very friendly man who made us feel welcome and comfortable. There is a big open grassy area, mowed short, which was perfect for exercising our dogs. No laundry machines are available, so my dirty laundry must wait again.

After a mix-up with another campground close by, my wife and I found ourselves without a tent lot on a long weekend. Luckly we saw the sign for Maitland Family Campground. The owners were great to us. They do not have tent lots but they do have a couple of small A-frames. They are just the right size. With a double bed, night stand and a table for two. Conveniently located beside the public bath and shower. The campground was clean, the other campers were great! I was able to sit on the little porch and watch humming birds while drinking a coffee. Thanks again for going above and beyond Barb!
