For those traveling with boats, the sturdy boat launch provides easy entry to the water, where campers can spend the day exploring the interconnected lake system.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Outdoor recreation is the heart of the Makwa Lake experience. Golfers can enjoy the challenging fairways at the nearby Makwa Lake Golf Resort, a scenic course carved directly into the forest. The lakes are a haven for anglers looking to catch walleye, yellow perch, and northern pike. On land, the park offers several interpretive hiking trails that wind through the forest, perfect for birdwatching and wildlife photography. The sandy beaches are a focal point during the summer months, offering safe swimming areas for all ages.

Beautiful place to go paddling. Lots of kayaks and paddle boarders. Motor boaters pulling kids also have a great time. Great camping spot for families looking for beaches and water activities. We stumbled upon the cross country skill trails and had a good two hour walk when it was too windy to be on the water. But awesome evening paddling when the Saskatchewan winds calm.
