This park is mostly permanent campers but they had nice sites available for walk-ins. Great accommodations and a beautiful view of the lake from our site. The one and only reason I rated it low was the really poor arrival we experienced. We made a day of reservation as we were traveling home. Paid ahead and received an email confirmation. No real arrival info. We pulled in around 6 pm so I wasn’t surprised when the office was closed. We had no instructions on how to get through the entrance gate. Pushed the call button at the gate multiple times with no response, called the phone number on the reservation. Again, no answer, no instructions. I finally walked in and found a resident who loaned me his gate card!! When I said no one was responding to ring and calls, his response was simply “unsurprising.” I would book here again but it’s definitely on you to make sure you know how you’re getting in.

Stayed with my family and in-laws for a long weekend. We reserved sites next to each other, but at check-in we were placed apart. The front-desk attendant was kind but couldn’t fix it. When the managers arrived, they snapped at us, told us to “read the fine print,” and said being next to each other costs extra. If a “site lock” fee is required, it should be obvious at booking—not a surprise at arrival. Prices in the store were higher than past years, the selection was thin, and the merch was generic (looked like staff uniforms). At the beach we did find a spot and met friendly guests, but many shared similar frustrations with recent changes. This used to feel like a family-run campground; this season it felt corporate, with customer experience taking a back seat. We won’t be returning and I honestly was not going to leave a review but after I emailed twice to complain and ask for a partial refund due to the sites not being next to each other - ZERO communication from management. EDIT : Found out my reservations were correct - I did some research since I thought it was weird the facebook camping page changed to private. An investment company purchased in 2025 and has a property management group running the place. Based on some online searches things are going downhill fast

Under new management since beginning of 2025. Sometimes the beach/lake gets flooded and gross or has ecoli or seagull poop. Certain sites flood. The store has weird hours. Sometimes you get rowdy overnight guests that keep you up late. New management means HUGE raise in prices for seasonal guests. Yah sure you painted bathrooms, updated store, put a dog fence in, maybe a few little other changes. Sure next year a new shiney playground and some lake inflatables.Do you think any of these things matter more than THE FRIENDSHIPS made here and memories. NO they don't. Unfortunately you want it to be an overnight/weekend campground. Well guess what were you filled up or sold out more than 1 weekend this year? Nope. Unfortunately we are STUCK here because our camper can't be moved, and our kids are going to loose the BEST part of this place and that's the seasonal guests and lifetime friendships. THANKS ALOT.

Monopogo is a great place to camp. Management and staff are helpful, friendly, and accommodating. The staff does a great job making sure everything is stocked and clean. It's very nice, the beach is big, plenty of elbow room.the lake is beautiful. Lots of shade for the campers. We can't wait to go back.

This is a surprisingly quiet campground given the number of campers. We had a little issue with the power buy were able to use a neighboring outlet. We notified the park of the bad outlet. I wasn't crazy about the site layouts. They had campers parked perpendicular to each other making it challenging to set up but we made it work. They did have some planned activities we joined in on and overall had a good time. They also have some of the best wifi available of any campground we have been to. They have a boat launch and nice beach area on lake pleasant and the camp store was well stocked and very nice. I would go back now knowing how the sites are layed out I can better choose a spot.

This campground is under new management. They have made over the general store and have made improvements to the general areas.

My family and I really do like this campground however it’s a place that seems to have been set up for seasonal camping only. The “weekender” sites are very limited- maybe 15 total - and so tight. The roads to the sites are so small it’s difficult to get your camper in and out unless you have something under 20 feet or have a corner lot. The hardest part for us is the no walking your dog in the park rule. We have to put our little guy in a wagon or drive them to the designated dog potty and walking area which is behind the dumpsters so it’s super smelly. The lake is beautiful and the staff are kind. But due to the tight lots, we won’t be able to come back.

We love camping at Manapogo. Family owned and operated. All the staff are always so nice and helpful. There are always so many fun activities for kids and the whole family. The lake is beautiful. Campground is clean and kept nicely. The only thing we don't love is the pet policy but we make due since we love everything else!

This place is awesome! The managers are very involved. There's always something for the kids to do. There's a beautiful beach right on Lake Pleasant, and fun for the whole family. I highly recommend this relaxing getaway!

We are seasonal campers here and love it! My husband camped here for 23 years as a child, so we knew some day we had to get back here. This will be our third season and we always look forward to getting back here. It's our home away from home. Staff and fellow campers all are so nice and it feels like a family here. This year more of our family is camping here so it makes it even better. Nice scenery, fun activities and a great beach to enjoy! Highly recommend this campground!

Overall very happy with the facility. Quite, lots of trees, spacious sites. The only problem is the lack of internet. Today everyone is using it, parks need to improve the system

My son rented a cabin there and invited me to come fishing with him in his boat. The water and the whole park was very clean and well kept. The fishing was excellent and we had an excellent experience.
