Really nice place to take the critters and kids to run off some energy. This time of year the fall colors are a sight to see.

Nice and quiet but we did arrive after Labor Day. Very quiet and clean. We arrived about 1:30 but could not check in until 3:00, even though it appeared they weren't full at all. We sat at the beach parking area to await check in time. Just a minor annoyance. Didn't ruin our day.

Great place to bring the family for a day of hiking, swimming and grilling. Plenty to do for the little ones with their 2 playgrounds and sandy beach as well as several fishing piers for catch and release in the stocked stream fed lake. If you're into mountain biking there are 5 miles of beginner to advanced trails including some pretty gnarly "Rocks & Roots" type trails. * Addition: Today my dog and I decided to check out the park on the "other" side of the road and I wish I could say don't bother but I just can't lie so.... I really wanted to keep this info to myself but i wouldn't be able to sleep if I did that. The other park is AMAZING! If you like secluded private, quiet, hidden, retro type outdoor places that are tucked back in the woods literally looking like a forgotten time. I was so surprised after we walked 1/4 mile back into the woods and found this place and I'm not kidding it's even got a playground with a steel slide straight out of 1982!! What a treasure!!
