I literally cannot figure out why this place has only 3.8 stars. We booked a night and then ended up deciding to stay the weekend this past weekend. The location is perfect and the rates are much better than the KOAs. The campsites have such lush soft green grass, and there's plenty of room between campers. When we arrived, we checked in and then were guided into our site by one of the hosts. Both hosts were so helpful and friendly! The bathrooms and showers were sparkling with plenty of hot water. The only downside to this place was you can't get into the river from the property (but there's ways around this), and you can't fish if there's tent campers (which there were that weekend). But there's a trail past the fence line that goes down to the river where you can get in and there's even a hot spring there, so it was fine. This one was definitely our favorite RV campsite of our epic road trip!

Let us start with the negative. ...... I got nothing. First place on the trip where the camp host guided me into the spot and helped me back into ( No i do not need help backing in....most of the time) helped me get it level. Tried to give him a beer but he said he was still on duty. The showers are amazingly clean and one of the great parts is that most of the camp is in the shade of very large trees.

Just spent a few days here and it's a fantastic campground!! All grassy with lots of shade, not like the other campgrounds that have more concrete and blacktop than grass. Campground hosts (Kevin and Marie) were amazing! Kept the place super clean and very well taken care of. This is now my only go to campground in Lava Hot Springs!

Mary's is our absolute favorite full hook up campground for family camping trips!! Every site is shaded, large, and grassy!! The hosts are absolutely awesome... Always making sure the campers get into their sites ok and don't have any issues. To include picking up garbage every day and dropping off ice or firewood, if needed. We will definitely be back!!

Ok, this place is awesome, so awesome I selfishly don't want to review so it's raiser for me to book a site when I come back. First thing you do is check in with the camp host. They are past helpful and friendly. The whole weekend we visited with them. They let our kids play with their dog, and they were always around checking on everyone. Next, the sites, these are NOICE! I mean wow! All the grass is green and well kept, while I'm personally allergic to Cottonwood trees, the trees here are huge, I mean huge (go ahead, say it like Trump) they give great shade and aren't in the way. Full hookups at every site are always greatly appreciated! Then the over all location to Lava. This place has a walking trail from the camp site to Main St. You leave your RV and you're at the hot springs in 5 minutes. They just renovated the main A Frame bathrooms and they are great, the showers are nice and they are well maintained.

We visited Mary’s Campground in late June. It was our first time at this campground. We loved our experience and really enjoyed the hosts Kevin and his wife. They were so helpful and friendly. Kevin went above and beyond in my opinion. We really hope to see them back again next summer. The campground was very clean and well kept.

What a beautiful campground right on the river. The hosts were so nice to us with our late arrival. Loved the big trees, landscape and the accommodations. Spent the morning at the Lava Hot Springs enjoying the relaxing pools. I'll definitely be back.

This was the most manicured, well taken care of rv campground we have ever been to. Kevin and Marie are excellent hosts and you can tell they really care about the place. Kevin is out and about all day attending to all the grass etc. easy to get in and out with our 38 ft motorhome. Lots of shade. Lots of room between sights. 5 stars for sure.

Mary's Place was absolutely beautiful!! This was our first time every staying at Mary's Place. We enjoyed our stay so much we plan to go back every year. The campground was so clean and so relaxing!! I wish we never had to leave! Also the camp host was great!! Thank you for such a beautiful place and keeping is so beautiful. It will be something I look forward to every year!!

My family and I spent the weekend at Mary’s Place and it was a great experience overall! The campsite was very spacious and has so much shade and grass; It also has power hookups, water and a picnic table. Kevin and Marie were great hosts checking up on us helping us with our fire pit and picking up our garbage bags with their golf cart. They sell ice and have clean bathroom/showers! My kids and I will definitely be coming back!

Camp hosts are sticklers for rules that are not posted anywhere. Seems to make them up as he goes a long. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Definitely not going back.

The fact that the owners don’t look at these reviews is amazing. My family and I rent out the row of Super Sites in the back every year (I guess I should say, USED TO). We all are very clean, not loud and take care of anything and everything. The new camp host that came into play thinks coming and bugging us every couple hours on LITERALLY NOTHING gets old, very quickly. This was a big family trip that we have been doing for years and was the most looked forward to one of the year, every year. This summer we went to a different location. Honestly it didn’t come close to Mary’s Place. Decided to get on and look to see if reviews got better due to this camp host, and clearly they haven’t. WAKE UP MARYS PLACE.

Under no circumstances would I ever stay at this campsite again. They are straight up dishonest and horrible to do business with. We stayed here with a large group renting multiple sites. One family member rented what they refer to as a super site, and was told personally by the individual taking the reservation that the super sites allow for 2 trailers to accommodate larger groups. This was specifically why they rented this space. After checking in, the camp host informed them that 2 trailers was not allowed and they would have to pay additional money because of the second trailer. When they disputed being forced to pay extra, as they had been told the site was set up to accommodate 2 trailers and that is specifically why they rented this lot, they were told it didn’t matter what they were told by their employee when the reservation was made, it was our fault for not checking their website and verifying that what their own employee was telling us was accurate. So now they're checked in, and have the option of forfeiting what they paid and leave, or pay more money. This is straight out extortion! These people are liars! What makes it worse? It’s the bannock county sheriffs association that runs this place, you would think honesty from them wouldn’t be too much to ask!
