Beautiful and relaxing. Plenty of things for everyone to do something. Soft beds and amazing shower! Food was good but expensive. Really enjoyed the various places to sit and chat with family and friends.

Campsites are large but lack shade. Restrooms are very nice. The park offers many activities including an archery park, a kayaking/canoeing pond, a lake Erie beach as well as an inland beach on a man-made lake, disc golf, boardwalk trails, nature center, a lodge/hotel.and more!

This is a large State Park. Campsites are large and private. You do not really see your neighbors. All of the campsites I saw had pads and fire pits. There is electric hookup at the site. Look at the site map on the web site to determine where the restrooms and water are located. This park has a beach on Lake Erie and on an inland pond by Lake Erie. There are many hiking and bike trails. Really nice. There is a Lodge with hotel type rooms. There is a Nature Center with a boardwalk that is handicap accessible. There is a golf course AND a very nice disc golf course. This is also just fifteen minutes away from a Walmart if you forgot anything. A weekend or a week, this is a great campground. The only negative is that the campground sites are a long walk from the beach if you have kids.

Our 1st time at Maumee Bay. The park was beautiful. Every campsite was so much more spacious and private than the other state parks we have been to where all the campsites are very close to each other. The beach is beautiful, the trails are great for walking or biking. Our only problem we had with the park is that it only has 1 dump station so it can get kinda busy. The lodge is also beautiful, if you venture over that way. The pool is open to the campers, but they do charge $16 a person to use it.

The beach at Maumee Bay State Park is a pretty solid spot if you’re looking to hang out by Lake Erie. It’s got a decent stretch of sand—not huge, but enough space to spread out and chill. The views of the lake are really nice, especially on a clear day when the water’s calm and blue. It’s perfect for a laid-back picnic or just soaking up some sun. That said, the beach does get busy on weekends and during summer, so if you want some peace and quiet, try going early or on a weekday. Swimming is possible, but heads up—sometimes the water quality isn’t the best because of algae blooms, which can make the water a bit murky and not super inviting for a dip. So definitely check the conditions before jumping in. Facilities-wise, there are bathrooms nearby which is convenient, but I’ll be honest, they could use a bit more TLC—nothing terrible, but not sparkling clean either. The park staff seem to do their best, but with the crowds, it’s understandable. Overall, the beach adds a nice balance to the park. It’s not a fancy, lifeguard-supervised beach, but it’s a chill, natural spot where you can enjoy the lake, toss a frisbee, or just relax with friends and family. Plus, it’s right next to all the other cool trails and amenities the park has, so it makes for a great day out.

We headed here to be near the water, the ocean was just too far of a drive. We tent camped at the campground at the park. And enjoyed the beach on Lake Erie. The beach closes at sunset (a must see). The camp store is where we checked into our site and got a map of the park and campground. This is also where you can buy souvenirs. The campgrounds are in great condition and clean. The only thing that I would change are more or closer restrooms. It was a long walk to the bathroom if nature was calling quick, you better hope you make it 😆. Deer are abundant and just watch you like you are watching them. We enjoyed the beach and also walking up the Big Hill to see the view. Take quarters so you can use the binocular thingy up there. You can see Michigan across the lake! Maumee Bay State Park has a disc golf course and one of the launch pads is on top of the Big Hill. Although there are amazing beaches on Lake Erie they also offer an inner beach, close to the playground. From what I noticed this beach had softer sand and no waves like the Erie beach. I also saw someone kayaking out there on the inner beach. There were plenty of places for cookouts and picnics. A perfect place for a day trip if you are close by. This park is beautiful. I forgot to mention there also was a nature center (I didn't not get to visit) and a golf course in the park.

Pretty park right on the Lake Erie. Plenty of space to walk, bike, fish, birdwatch. The RV campground is beautiful, big space level cement spots. Most have electric connections only. Good Verizon and T Mobile service. The place is quiet and relaxing. There is bingo, ice cream nite and other activities.

Stayed here for a long weekend tent camping. Great experience all around. The boardwalk trail was incredible. I definitely recommend making it to the scenic point at the end. Great views! The storybook trail was infested with bugs that jump on you. It’s nature, but I’d recommend staying away until they are out of season. My family couldn’t handle it. The campground was super family friendly. Clean restrooms, playgrounds for the kids, friendly staff, and no noisy neighbors. I recommend this park 10/10!
