Went here last summer. Beach was beautiful. Great for kids, shallow for a long ways out so very safe. Campground is nice. Hiking trails are good as well.

Quaint, you will have neighbors. Is located directly between two lakes, great for fishing (including a cleaning house), and suited for everything you could need out of a camping trip. Also connected to various hiking trails which are fairly gentle and partially along the water.

One of the last nice days of fall & this gorgeous beach was empty for at least a half hour! This would be a excellent beach for everyone, especially children, seniors, and non-swimmers. The water level is shallow and the sandy bottom goes for a long way without any weeds. Firepits and or grills are at the picnic tables. Trees along bank provide some shade if you need it.

Love this state park, right next to the lake. Across the road is a beach, picnic area and group camp area. I appreciate the clean restroom. Beautiful area. Will definitely come back again.

Helpful staff and beautiful grounds. Buildings are clean and the beach is a perfect spot for the kids to have fun.

This state park probably has the best sandy swimming beach in the state. Great for kids. You can probably walk out 150 yard before getting to waste level. Many camping spots have direct site of the beach, and have a 50’ setback. Really a great state park close to Hibbing. Worth the visit. If staying a few nights, be sure to book 3 months in advance to get the best campsites.

Great place to swim. If you're a veteran let them know. Awesome campground $20+ per night with amazing shower facility

Beautiful sandy beach that stays shallow for quite some ways, making it very kid friendly. The area has some more mature trees also. There's sunny and shady areas to enjoy the views. It's well worth the $7 daily pass. One thing to note... bathrooms are currently closed due to Covid, so you'll have to use the Clark station down the road for an emergency.
