On-site amenities include reliable Wi-Fi, cable television, and clean laundry facilities for guest convenience. The highlight of the park is the lake itself, which offers peaceful opportunities for catch-and-release fishing or simply enjoying a sunset walk along the water’s edge.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

While the park is a destination for relaxation, it serves as an excellent base for exploring the Georgia coast. A short drive takes visitors to the historic waterfront of Darien or the Sapelo Island ferry. Nature enthusiasts can spend a morning at the Harris Neck National Wildlife Refuge for birdwatching and photography. For those looking for more extensive sightseeing, the historic charm of Savannah and the pristine beaches of the Golden Isles are both within an hour's drive of the campground.

The area is very nice. My dog loves it. S. Doggy park. I enjoy the fishing. The environment is so peaceful and I recommend this to everybody now. My brother which was only here for an hour gave it a three. I have no idea why he did that but he does not count. This place is excellent. You can't ask for a better place to go

This park is absolutely a hidden gem. Right off the freeway, but peaceful and quiet and on a gorgeous lake. I would love to spend a few days here, but we were just passing through. The owner and his wife are friendly, accommodating and very helpful. The park is easy to find (the 2nd RV park off of exit 58) and easy to pull into, park and set up. They have pull through spots, picnic tables, even a chair swing overlooking the lake. A beautiful spot, and we will definitely stay here again when opportunity arises. Highly recommend, if you you’re not sure where (or when) to stop, make the effort to stop here, it will be worth it.

Owners were great. Friendly, helpful and great source of information. Stopped for an overnight, stayed two nights to check out the area. Reasonably close to Darien, Brunswick St. Simon and Jeckyl Island. Great wifi. Well manicured and maintained sites. Only grass, no pad or rocks. But their website tells you that. Easy access to campground from I 95. Did not use their showers/restrooms. Definitely good for a night or 3 to visit the area.

McIntosh Lake was a beautiful, peaceful spot to camp. We stopped here between FL and SC and the location was perfect, right in between our destinations and conveniently off of i95. The camp owner/host greeted us as we arrived in pouring rain with umbrellas and assisted us with basic setup, going way above and beyond in kindness. This gesture meant a lot to us and made the short stay extra sweet and special. As you can see from the photos, the camp is stunningly set on a beautiful lake with docks and swings and a wonderful rec room aptly called "serenity hall." It felt so peaceful and special here and you can tell the owners/hosts put a lot of care into keeping it lovely and homey for guests. Highly recommend this little slice of heaven!
