Meadville KOA Journey

Camping in Northwestern Pennsylvania, off of exit 147A near I-79, in Pennsylvania. We can't wait to see you. (Please note that we are 10 miles from the highway exit and that Verizon Cell Service is very limited here.)

We invite you to our destination campground (10 miles off I-79), whether you are looking for a short getaway or a longer vacation in our large campsites and serene setting. Meadville KOA makes the perfect base camp while you explore Western & Northwestern PA.

Meadville KOA features campsites from primitive tent camping to sites with electric and water for tents or tent trailers (pop-ups). We offer large pull-through RV sites with 50-amp service for big rigs. We're located in a pretty, rural setting with ponds and trees. We also feature seasonal RV camping, half-season RV camping, and monthly extended stay RV campsites. Our full-service campsites include complimentary cable TV, and all of our campsites include complimentary Wi-Fi. Reservations are encouraged. (Please note that Verizon Cell service does not work well here, and we do not offer garbage pickup. There are dumpsters by the propane station.)

Our rentals feature deluxe, lakefront cabins, a kitchenette cabin, and a camping cabin for a cozy, comfortable stay. Our lakefront, two-bedroom, deluxe cabins are located near the main building and highway for easy access and will sleep up to 8 people and include a restroom and cable TV. With such a central location, you're right in the middle of all the fun! They are right on Wagon Lake, next to the pool, playground, jumping pillow, and you can fish in our two-acre lake right from your campsite.

We are a destination campground that hums with activity. Come and enjoy our themed weekends filled with award-winning planned activities and free children's crafts. Check out our Events page. Be as busy as you'd like, or relax under a shade tree with a good book or enjoy an evening campfire.

Our outdoor recreation includes a swimming pool, catch-and-release fishing (no license required), or wade in our spring-fed Kimee Creek. We have playgrounds, volleyball, basketball, Ga-Ga ball, horseshoes, and cornhole to keep kids of all ages active. We will be adding numerous other activities over this next year. At this time, our mini golf is closed for repair, but we are hopeful of getting it up and running in time for the upcoming season.

Our campground is centrally located, and it makes a perfect base camp to explore the Great Lakes Area of Northwestern PA and all it has to offer. From hiking & biking trails in Meadville, to the Erie Wildlife Refuge (with American Bald Eagles), there is truly something for everyone. Enjoy Presque Isle State Park & Beaches, or Pymatuning State Park & Spillway (two of PA's most visited parks), Waldameer Amusement Park, nearby Conneaut Lake, Conneaut Lake Park & Lazy River, Drake Well & Oil Museum (as featured on the History Channel), The Oil Creek Rail Road, Oil Creek State Park, Franklin Rails to Trails, Allegheny Geo Trail (geocaching), Grove City Outlets and much more in the area.

We extend our warmest welcome to you and your family and hope that your stay with us in Northwestern PA will be a fun-filled, family camping experience with memories that last a lifetime.

Stay away from this place! I tried to cancel before there 48hr cutoff so they change there cutoff by one hr so they said I missed the it! I also understand having to pay something for a cancelation but never heard of someone charging the full price! Very unprofessional! Its no wonder there ratings are so bad. Defiantly will not recommend anyone to this place!

Has the potential to be a five star. 1 mini golf is non existent. 2. I understand that pools have break downs but when it has a projected back in service date a week after our stay, it would have been nice to know when booking . 3. A KOA Holiday's aminitys should be open past 6:00pm, IE jump pad, and game room. 4. Laundry hours are a little short, same as office hours. Campsites are nice with lots of room to roam, and most sites are well shaded.

Staff was super friendly and accommodating. They handled our party of 7 adults and 11 kids with no issues. Plenty to do for children. We got a little rowdy after the kids went to sleep with zero complaints.

We discovered this campground over 10 years ago and it's one of our favorites. The new owners are top notch and are doing an excellent job of keeping the campground in great shape. We were pleasantly surprised this trip to find that the activities for the kids are all included with the stay now. We'll be going back again and again.
