We had a great time at Medcalf Acres Campground on the Schroon River. The team there is very helpful and accommodating. We especially thank Mike for his help in guiding us to our site and expertly guided us in, as well as being available for any needed help during our stay - he even moved us over one spot from our reserved spot to a beautiful site overlooking the river. It takes a short while to get acclimated as the campground is heavily seasonal campers. Camping in September meant it was very nicely quiet during a weekday and even into the weekend.

This place was truely awesome. Total last minute booking a few weeks ago. We rented one of the two cabins. Beds were comfortable for camp beds, had a full size fridge, microwave and coffee pot. Propane grill outside, picnic table and fire pit. There were so many activities to do! Bouncy house, VR, swimming in pool and river, mini golf and more! Mike( i think that was his name) was super helpful and responsive. We loved it so much We instantly booked again for next year.

First time visiting Medcalf Aches and will sure to be back again, the entire stay we throughly enjoyed. Many activities for the kids, super awesome playgrounds, tons of free activities, staff was so inviting and made sure we knew all that was going on. Mike was there to help if anything was needed, he was so good with the kids and keeping up on needs of the campers. The site was very nice for our tent and perfect for what we needed. I am so happy to decided to choose them to stay the long weekend.

This was mine and my families first time here. I will say we will be returning this year again and next and so on. The site was absolutely amazing. Big area for the youngsters to play on site with a trail right to the river. My kids absolutely loved being in nature and being adventurous boys. Mike who is in charge of the campground is awesome. He is right there when you need him for anything. Then man takes care of the whole place by himself and he does a phenomenal job doing it. He does a great job keeping the entire campground as nice as possible. Have never a nicer campground. I highly recommend anyone looking to get away for a few days to stay at medcalf. Guarantee you’ll enjoy your time from the river to the pool to just sitting at the fire. Amazing job Mike. Will be back to enjoy again.

Medcalf Acres is a really nice, wooded campground located right on the Schroon River. We stayed in site 24b, which was a little tricky to get in and out of with our 26 ft trailer, but Mike was right there to help out and we got in and out with no problem. It was a gorgeous site, very spacious. The campground has a pool and other activities, but we were there to relax and enjoy the river and so we did just that! It's a nice quiet campground and everyone there is very friendly. I would definitely stay there again! Our dogs loved it, too!

Owners are excellent people. The scenery is beautiful. Friendly staff and love that there pet friendly. They always have activities for the kids and inflatiables on the weekends. I highly recommend this camp ground.

I enjoyed renting the cabin for the season. It had a very nice view of the river from the front porch. Whenever I needed anything, Karl was super responsive. He and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. Sammy and RJ and the others I met worked hard to keep everything clean. The other campers were always friendly as well. Everyone minded the speed limit so it was nice to be able to walk everywhere within the campground, and I saw that the younger kids were able to bike around safely. The location is a great starting point for biking, hiking and sightseeing in Schroon, Ticonderoga, Crown Point and many more interesting historical Adirondack towns nearby. Even if I only had time to stay for a day or two, it felt like a mini-vacation.

My family & myself arrived 8/12. What a beautiful location, 1st impression of campground we were pleased. Christa welcomed us, & we followed her to our site which at 1st seemed quaint, a little close to our neighbor, but decent. After setting up we noticed bits & pieces of trash on the ground, beer/soda cans & trash left in the fire pit. Restroom cleanliness was poor, only "One" shower which was very muddy & stinky, cob webs everywhere & overall the restroom was not well kept at all! My wife found the Ladies room to be in exactly the same condition! Quiet hours are between 11:00pm & 9:00am...What a freaking Joke!!! Absolutely no security, people partying all night, & overall an impossible environment to get much sleep at all! If you are heading to Medcalf acres for some R & R, good luck!!! The owner took our reservation over the phone, a pleasant man, & since it was our 1st visit, he gave us a free night which we did not take advantage of as we left a day early on 8/15! Thank God it was free! Overall- I would definitely not recommend this campground at all!

I am here right now.. I am staying with my brother in law Mr Warner. I absolutely love this place! Its kid friendly and everyone is so nice. Especially the owners. The pool is amazing and there's so many playgrounds, a sandbox, lots of toys for kids of all ages. My daughter loves it here. And shes only 2. The lake is absolutely relaxing, you can put your toes right in the sand and relax. I will deff be coming back for another stay soon! Thank you for the awesome stay Medcalf Acres🌞💟🏕
